Liz Truss has been elected as the new leader of the Conservative party of the United Kingdom and is set to be next Prime Minister beating Rishi Sunak the other contender for the top spot of UK’s currently ruling party.

Truss beat rival Rishi Sunak by 81,326 votes to 60,399, getting 57% of her party’s vote. She ran her campaign by appealing to supporters of Boris Johnson and by mirroring many of his policies while attempting to carve out her own identity in her bid for leadership.

She has promised to cut taxes and address the economic situation while tackling the energy crisis in the UK in her first speech after winning the election.

Truss does not automatically become Prime Minister, her predecessor Boris Johnson must first tender his letter of resignation to queen Elizabeth II, who is then expected to invite Truss to form the new government on Tuesday.

I was laughing from the get-go, because I knew all the fakers masquerading as God loving saints, only on Sunday mornings, would hit red.

If Jesus shows in Dominica today, most Christians in de sea swimming towards Guada!
They are the ones mostly responsible for the condition Dominica is in today.

Even more red ticks from these hypocrites!!!!!

I wonder if her position on the misery they, along with France, Canada and the U.S Boring. created in Haiti and the Continent of Africa is any different from Boring/Boris.

England is on the path to become a third world country. They have 4 prime ministers in the last few years just like third world countries do. I don’t expect Liz to be the knight who saves the day because there are just too many issues at present to be addressed. Cutting taxes is one thing but what of a shortage of energy and the planned reneging of treaties signed by her predecessors. London bridge is falling down. Let it fall.

Whomever expected these wealthy white conservative white men to vote for an Indian over a white woman, is living on in a dream world out there in space.

These colonialists will never change they original intent of suppressing black and brown people. Unless we as a people create our own nuclear weapons, we will never be respected, because no one will respect us if we do not hold the deterrent capacity. As you know respect usually comes from people being fearful from you. For example, most people become Christians not because they necessarily love God, but because they are more fearful of the devil.

But you have to admit, judging by the diverse composition of her cabinet in top positions she sort of represent the more modern face of the Conservative party. Having said that, she has been part of the same conservative administration for the past 12 years so it will be a continuation of the same ‘trickle down’ conservative economic policies (making the rich richer in order for the poor to get scraps handed down). The old-school white male dominated conservatives in the party won’t allow her to stay at the top for too long. I can see a general election on the horizon soon and the conservatives being swept out of office since brexit is not on offer as a campaigning tool.

I know what you mean. As long as capitalism remains the trickle-down version of feudalism, that the Brits know best the result will be the same old. They need to leave Africa and allow the Continent to prosper on its own, don’t you think?

We do not expect this Boris Johnson puppet to last for long. Meanwhile the British people continue to suffer under our electoral system. That Brexit thing has done this country yno good at all.

We need to refrain from referring to today’s politicians as leaders. What we should do is to call them representatives.

Just take even a cursory glance at the world today. It’s a total mess. There are wars among nations, civil wars, extreme poverty, unprecedented diseases, mass pollution, environmental degradation, racial tensions, scarcity of water, overcrowded prisons, political extremism, economic stagnation, and the list can go on ad infinitum.

The whole world is troubled and living has become unbearable. The wor!d is in a meltdown.

Here goes the bums again. They are yearning for Lennox Linton to be the Prime Minister of Dominica and of the World. But you know, these guys are entitled to be idiots and ignoramuses.

Once the world had Gorbachev and Mandela. Now we have Skerrit, Trump, Johnson and Truss.
