I hope he not planning our continued misery using our youngsters in the police to persecute cannabis users.
So long they advised them PMs, even when our PM was chair of both OECS and CARICOM, to come to with a unified response to capitalize on the legalization of cannabis. Now each likkle island has to come up with a separate one-tree/3-tree solution that’s guaranteed to keep imprisonment of their citizens as designed by the Kuklux klan from the 1930’s to today.
By keeping it illegal, not putting it into proper perspective they are only continuing the klan’s work. Thailand has totally legalized cannabis for all uses, without issues.
We must create an industry line Cuba did with tobacco, Cuban cigars, yet not everyone smokes it there.

I don’t know why the government don’t want to put factories in Dominica to give people work to do and pay them right

Manufacturing and agro processing can save Dominica (lowers unemployment, transfer of skills, reduce trade deficit, improved linkages across productive sectors etc etc). But they are not interested in that until it suits their agenda.

Jamaica is. Their tourism industry has grown since their legalization. They have organised events and businesses based on cannabis. Apart from the raw plant, a plethora of by products can be developed, and they are exploring the avenues. One of the leading people doing research on cannabis at UWI in Jamaica, that operates the cannabis research program is actually a Dominican.
