Men charged for smuggling 11 East Indians out of Dominica

Two men who allegedly smuggled 11 adults and one child from Dominica into Antigua could end up spending 25 years behind bars. The individuals were Indian nationals.

According to reports from the courts, sometime in December  of last year, the coast guard in Antigua and Barbuda reportedly impeded a boat carrying the Indian nationals

Alvin Goodwin of Gray’s Farm was driving the boat which reportedly belonged to Parham resident Kevorn Crump.

Both men, from Antigua and Barbuda, were arrested and charged with human trafficking and conspiring to traffic humans.

On Tuesday, they both appeared before a Magistrate and were placed on a $200,000 bond and told to pay $50,000 to secure their temporary release.

Their travel documents were also taken and they are required to sign in at a police station near them three times each week.

The 11 adult immigrants were also arrested for entering the country illegally and were fined $1000 each last week. They have since been repatriated.

Seems Antigua and Dominica have an Indian human trafficking ring? First it came to our attention with Mehul Choksy. Now this new story.

As reported, human trafficking pure and simple. Indian nationals do not need a visa to come to Dominica but they need an E-visa for Antigua. No idea where they would end up eventually but that could not have happened without inside sources in Dominica because that trip must have been preplanned all the way from India. The Portsmouth Possie perhaps? You worry about Chinese but keep an eye on them wily Indians too. Man, we really becoming a bandit country. No wonder so many guns floating about.

This appears to be what we say in in reference to British cricket ” a sticky wicket.”
Is it not strange before the issue of an Indian abduction in Antigua, and brought to Dominica is resolved we are hearing about a number of Indians; East Indians for that matter slogged from Dominica into Antigua.
    Coincidence?
    Something is wacky about that!

Oh, I forgot to asks, how did the smuggled East Indians get to Dominica, considering there are no direct flights from East India 🇮🇳 to Dominica.
I suppose Elizabeth, the wimp ds and the lunatic Lin-sot-clown can explain that.
If they don’t have the answer perhaps doctor of fart Roosevelt can tell them how to explain it to them.

They got away with Choski and now they got caught? Indians love to travel! They are all over the place even in our health centers and hospitals. Dominica is already over populated they shouldn’t charge these men. They were doing us a favor.

Reread the story. Nowhere did it say Dominicans were arrested. It only says the people transported were being done from Dominica.

Your comment has no relevance to the topic. See how many dislikes you have compared to fools who support your waste of finger strength. Why dont you ask you PM why Mehul Choksy an indian man was illegally brought here and accepted by your higher ups. Allowed a private jet to land here with the purpose of transporting him to India. Why is your government effectively and publicly taking part in human trafficking?

This scandal scarred Roosevelt-led administration continue to give Dominica and Dominicans a black-eye.

Under the current stewardship of Roosevelt it’s one international scandal after another. The kidnapping of Choski, the diplomatic ties with Syria, human smuggling are just a few discreditable incidents.

When the head of any country is corrupt the whole country becomes awash in corrupt activities. Dominica is doomed with this scandal plagued regime in place.

Boy you are really “scroll” material – see y your name scroll. I’m not a Skeritt fan and have not read your comment but you may do well to let someone else write something, maybe one day we will win an election. That strategy is a losing one, trust me, kinda boring, we are better than that.

You are like what Republicans refer to as a Rhino. Roosevelt’s mule (beast of burden) in disguise.

The truth may be an offence but not a sin. Dimwits like you inspire me to write.
