Mexico donates COVID-19 vaccines to Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

On behalf of the Mexican Government, the Foreign Ministry reports that Mexico delivered 2,000 doses of COVID-19 (AstraZeneca) vaccines to Dominica on February 17 and 10,000 doses to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on February 18, 2022, both Eastern Caribbean States. The donations were made in cooperation and solidarity with the nations of the region, in accordance with the instructions of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The mission was led by the Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), Dr. Laura Elena Carrillo, with Foreign Ministry personnel from the areas for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights and Latin America and the Caribbean.

The vaccines were received in Dominica by the Acting Minister for Health, Wellness and New Health Investment, Hon. Kent Edwards, and the Permanent Secretary Letitia Lestrade-Wyke. In Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the donation was received by the Minister of State with responsibility for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Hon. Keisal M. Peters, the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Mr. Cuthbert Knights, and the Honorary Consul of Mexico there, Mr. Joel Providence.

The doses were packed in special containers donated by the Direct Relief organization, and transported in aircraft belonging to the Mexican Air Force. The donation was made to contribute to the plan to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this delivery, Mexico reaffirms its commitment to the Latin American and Caribbean region to guarantee equitable access to vaccines.

  • Mexico has now completed 18 humanitarian missions to deliver vaccines to Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Mexico reaffirms its principles of guaranteeing equitable access to vaccines and promoting international cooperation and its fraternal ties with Latin America and the Caribbean.

I don’t understand why the government keeps accepting those vaccine donations when we have lots of vaccines sitting in a freezer and they will eventually be thrown out because practically no one is taking any of the vaccines any longer. They are for the most part going to end up in the dump.

Omicron is the best vaccine for COVID 19 as Bill Gates said. Why not do as the UK did today removing all restrictions and is advising it’s citizens to be deligent and get on with living our lives. Stop the power grab and fear. Natural immunity has always been in place throughout humanity.
