For the second consecutive year, Tyce Fausin, known as “Mighty T”, clinched the Junior Calypso Monarch title for St. Mary’s Academy (SMA), while Shervez Seaman, performing as “Moxie-Shervy”, from Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS), secured the Junior Bouyon Monarch crown.

In the Calypso segment, Mighty T impressed the judges with his hit “I Come Back”, outshining seven other competitors. The results placed Niah Massicott (“Nifty Ni”) from PSS in third place, Tkwani Kowan Joseph (“Prince Kwani”) from St. Mary’s Primary as second runner-up, and Karishma Piper (“The Piper’s Tune’) from Convent High School as the first runner-up.

The other competitors in the Junior Calypso Monarch were Camille-Rose Esprit, of Pioneer Preparatory School, with the stage name, “Rising Rose,” Joshua Bernadel, stage name “Burna Bread”, and Kaelan “King K,” Matthew, who both also represented the SMA and Ojahro Philbert, known as “Mighty Kai,” representing the Social Centre FOTA Programme.

The Bouyon Monarch segment showcased five dynamic performances, however, in the end, Moxie-Shervy, in the judges opinion, outperformed the other competitors and she was announced as the victor.

She beat last year’s Junior Bouyon Monarch, Josiah Fagan, stage name “DJ Siah”, who fell into third place while Aydin Johnson, who goes by the name “Hit Maker”, representing SMA, took second place.

The other competitors in this segment was Sage Campbell, aka “King Sergio”, representing St. Mary’s Primary, and DeAndre “Dre” Darroux who represented Pierre Charles Secondary School.
