Interestingly the National Schools Youth Parade was cancelled halfway during the program on Friday due to inclement weather but the Miss OECS Pageant was not cancelled the same Friday due to inclement weather.

Was the cancellation of the National Youth Schools Parade executed to facilitate final preparations for the Miss OECS Pageant Friday night?

PCongratulations Misss OECS/St. Lucia! We wish you all the best in the year ahead. We look forward to the OECS as a regional body incorporating your reign in activities which raise awareness of the organisation, as that needs a boost. We hope there is a Miss OECS programme in place to facilitate that, otherwise it will be just another pageant. Congratulations are also in order to the talented Dominican artesan Mr. Francis Richards, for the beautiful award/carving he created for the event. Amazing! We need to highlight our OECS talent. Thanks to everyone who reactivated this event.
