look at the map…….see how Salisbury and Marigot connected on de body of Ma Domnique
As Bernard Wiltshire said, this is at best a Pyrrhic win for Roosevelt Skerrit, with less than 25% of Dominicans on the bloated voters’ list giving him their support. Hardly a victory then. And let’s be clear, with his portrait looming large next to his party’s candidates the not so subliminal message that a vote for the candidate was not for party but for him. Knowing the vanity of the man such a dismal appreciation rate must be hard to swallow. Whom to blame but himself. What next maestro?
I don’t support Skerrit but talking bout less than 25 percent is crap.
6 constituencies didn’t take part in the election and in other areas ppl didn’t go out cause it was already in the bag.
The conduct, results and findings of this mockery of an election should make all prudent, clean-handed Dominicans hang their heads in shamefacedness.
Dominica’s membership in the OECS and other regional and international democratic organisations should be suspended until democracy is fully restored.
Many of the pastors and churches, the prominent business places, the media outlets are silent in the face of this gross injustice on the people. This silence is complicity with the oppressor.
The people of Dominica are slaves again. This time, not by those who enslaved our forebears, but this time by a charlatan from among our midst. Skinship doesn’t always equate to kinship.
