Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has said he is “deeply sorry” for the death of Dominica’s first COVID-19 victim and said it presents an opportunity for national reflection.
On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 a 46-year old female became the first Dominican to die from the dreaded coronavirus.
“My family and I offer deepest condolences to her family and close friends as they come to terms with this deep and shocking loss. Our nation grieves with you,” the Prime Minister said in a post on his Facebook page. “I pledge my support, and that of the Government and People of Dominica, to the family during their time of bereavement and wish them God’s comfort and strength during this difficult period.”
He said the passing of the individual presents an opportunity for national reflection and reminds us of the need to practice all safety protocols recommended by health officials to protect ourselves and the most vulnerable and at-risk among us.
“We must all work together to prevent further spread of this disease to safeguard the collective health of our nation.
May God bless the bereaved family. May God bless Dominica,” Skerrit stated.
Health Minister, Dr. Irving McIntyre, in a statement earlier today, said the deceased, who had pre-existing medical conditions, was admitted to the COVID Isolation Unit on August 14th and passed away today, August 17th, 2021.

1. Lennox Linton wife came from the US and was sent to quarantine in Ports Mouth even if she had no symptons of covid 19
2. Lennox Linton children came home for the summer and was sent to quarantine in Ports Mouth even though they had no symptons of covid 19
3. spags John came home and was sent to quarantine in Ports Mouth
But….
1. ……….. family came home and was sent home.
2. Grand Fond folks who are allged to be friends of their parlrep came home, tested positive and was sent to home quarantine
3. Liar In Chief came home from Venezuela, a place as hot with covid as 10 bonda-ma-jack in a karyee braff but went home and among people immediately thereafter.
So, I hope those with some rear sense (very uncommon among the reds) can now see the difference…..tick tok, tick tock!
The sad thing about this is we are all hurt about this death but reality is there will NOT be an inquiry into who are the ones directly responsible for the sudden surge. This is because some people are afraid of being exposed. You see Mr. Meetan-tete-beebobs threaten to arrest people but not a bike tire has been seized! Yeah, the bikers are the low fence to jump but tell him if he man arrest one biker and he will see what bikers can do. You think is baby Sarah mama you dealing with?
The dictator will try and use this death to gain sympathy for himself, not the family of the dearly deceased. Mark my word, he will go to see the family and offer money to cover burial cost etc and even say it on the a-nou-parlay-baytees program. But the family don’t need his money, they can afford to bury the lady on their own. May she RIP

Chien, the opposition and those who do not take the vaccine are not the problem. You know exactly what the problem is. It is the partiality which exist in every facet of society. you tow the line and you sing the praises of the Labour Party, and everything in the country is yours. You get jobs over much more qualified people than yourself and all that goes with it. As it relates to covid-19 and protocols, you are exempt. Quarantine is for other people who are not connected. The connected ones walk out of an airplane and head straight home others are quarantined. The government officials need to grow up and preside of a equitable society and we will fair better.

So if the dearly departed had Pre-existing conditions how is it Covid-19 that is the cause of death and not those pre-existing conditions???
So what, the pre-existing conditions couldn’t have taken her life???
How is it when the reports of those who died days after they too the vaccine their cause of death is reported as pre-existing conditions and not the side effects of the vaccine, but then when death comes with Covid-19 those same pre-existing conditions are not mentioned as the cause of death, it’s always Covid-19 that’s the culprit,,,
@RastarMarn, let me explain. Let’s say someone has high blood pressure and diabetes that make the person susceptible to heart attacks. The person subsequently dies of a heart attack. Was it the diabetes or the high blood pressure that killed the person, or should the cause of death be listed as heart attack? Just asking.
The cause of death will be Cardiac Arrest, and when one looks at what leads to that cause of death it will be related to the High Blood pressure,,,
Diabetes killing people all day every day from infections they cannot heal especially when they obtain an injuring to their body like a foot sore,,,
Their immune system is so damaged from the effects of the diabetes that they succumb to all sorts of complications,,,
What people fail to realize there is this perpetual State of Emergency and in order to make claims Governments must record deaths as they relate to that which has caused the State of Emergency,,,
Think about this a hurricane relief: in order for One to make a claim that the natural Disaster caused the damages they must show the actual damaged property,,,

The body count is merely to show damages caused by that which they claim to have caused the State of Emergency,,,

For a person to be “deeply sorry,” that individual must first have a heart.
I don’t know what Skerrit is deeply sorry about because all death is death and although this woman is the first covid-19 reported death in Dominica I believe we have buried some unannounced covid 19 deaths.
But the big question is, what exactly Roosevelt Skerrit is deeply sorry about? I am not to sure but I believe I have a right to speculate.
First, I don’t believe the bike rally is the cause for that spread. Roosevelt and others can say what they want but I have a right to believe them or not to believe them. To be clear, I don’t believe anything they say Period.
Now back to the issue and my take:
1. President Donald Trump, in his capacity as president told us that Covid 19 was born and made in China. In fact he called it the China disease.
2. No secret that Skerrit is in bed with that same China. Is he deeply sorry that his alleged friends disease took the life of a Dominican?
3. Is he sorry because he failed to quarantine after visiting a hot county like Venezuela?
No they can’t speak. But strangely enough they DO vote in our country. How is this possible???

Keep the country open. Let’s see how much more you will allow to die. Pride is a heck of a thing. You no longer have control on the virus because you foolishly thought covid know the difference between party supporters, so a DLP supporter could come from the US on Saturday and be seen walking around on Sunday. The only way to get a handle on this is to halt people’s movements for while.
Skerrit….a post on Facebook doesn’t cut it like facing the people! If you want to make a national address put your face in the public. Show us that you going through this thing with us!
