Doiminican’s, when u hear some emergency vehicle coming, get off the way. When they get to the situation, get off the way. You all cannot help, just to gossi foolishly and not producing no fruit.

We need to not call each other stupid or not so kind works, even though u don’t like what they say.
We must be more constructive and not distructive. Remember, whatever we put on the World Wide Web, it is there to stay, and the whole world judge us by what we say and put out there. We are smart people, act like smart people. We need the whole world wanting to come to our country, not being turned off by what we say and do.

Even though we are angry, as the bible says,”Be angry and sin not. Watch our tongue and what we put on these key boards. Move forward.

I have seen worst. All it needs is a headlamp and it will be as good as new.

Anyone of you witness this incident? -why soooooo many audiences???? why?why? tell me why?.Or is it because you all are so inquisitive.

I just hoe the occupants were in seat belts and they have not sustained serious injuries. Also have the SRS(Secondary restraint System) Airbags deployed on impact, if not, I suggest the owner to contacting Honda for an explanation as those features are designed for safety.

i remember in the years gone by traveling on these huge truck with tailbud and wooden seats the road being very small and was never being scared ,the drivers before consider people`s lives the only thing i did not like was the gas smell it would make me vomit a lot.but now u have smaller vehicle larger roads and every minute is an accident.my goodness .

      January 22, 2013

You trying to make sense but the fact is larger, smoother roads with less holes with fellars that have faster vehicles calls for more accidents.

The time you talking about roads were not as smooth and were more dangerous than now so man had to take there time and there vehicles had less hp (horse power)

for example it had less accident 4 yrs ago with the bad roads than now with the better roads that don’t mean there were better drivers 4 yrs ago

but i will not give you a thumbs down cause you kinda making sense

So sorry to hear that. Of course, the ambulance service reponded in the appropriate manner. When lives are at stake every second counts and I can’t understand people who would take issue with that. Clear the road, be helpful and don’t second-guess. That has priority over anything else.!!

At last I read a comment that makes sense. The fire service showed up not long after the accident happened. There was no ambulance available and they wasted no time securing the gentleman and transporting him in the fire truck. Anything to save a life. The fire service personnel needs to be commended on a job well done as they do most times. We Dominicans love to complain about everything. The fire service takes time to show up. We complain. They drive speedily to the scene of an accident. We complain. Jeez!

seriously…if u dont have any thing good to say, Dont say Nothing at all. Some people always want to be negative. Not being rude but some people need to really grow up and make a change. Say something nice. An accident is not the worst. And BTW, you may never know who’s going to die first. Maybe its you. IDk. Just saying.

When the Yong man died under the cliff on the bike the ambulance took to long. Now your is that the ambulance is to fast. How do you please some of you Dominicans. Now. Come to the US and obstruct the emergency vehicles and after you get injured you will know what charges you will face. Every day on this site Dominicans just keep trying to show the world the number of idiots we have.

      January 21, 2013

Stop mixing oranges and apples there is time for the reporting of the news especially in the present time we now live to be delivered and for some of us to cite every trival case as in this one “A Simple report of an accident which we have become so familier with these days, crying foul over the identification of a vehicle`s license plate is laughable, reading this blog from north America. What should have been reported? EG: An accendent occured at such and such location and the vehicle involved is unidentifiable! No place for political correctness.Just call it what it is, if not some one will.

    • Seriously
      January 21, 2013

      The points are invalid.

If there is an accident in the US, sensitive information isn’t told to the public without their consent. It’s decency and its proper journalism.

This nonsense about everyone should know all the details is just idiotic. You don’t have to know everyone’s information all the time. Worry about yourself. You read the news to find out there was an accident; you don’t read the news to find out there was an accident and — was involved and — is there information. That’s backward.

And to be honest, this post is just here to give the site an update. There isn’t enough news in Dominica, so we have to fill our time with updates on accidents that happen all the time.

And to the comment about the police reports, reread what you wrote. It is the first information that comes on the police report for a government employee to access. They don’t just post the reports on a bulletin board.

    • Malgraysa
      January 22, 2013

Is it not so that all vehicles are obliged to have their registration number clearly visible for all to see when on the public road?

      • Seriously
        January 23, 2013

The registration plate identification is for government officials to use (police officers). It’s not for communal identification.

dominicans doing like its first time they c road. those drivers driving like they r on the parkway. wat burns me is that they cannot even drive. wen u r so fast in that lil road there is lil time to react. so take allu time. allu have to take work at 8 but u leaving urhouse at 7:45 rushing to get there. dominicans need to do better than that. I have realized that the road is not the problem but the mentality of the poor drivers.

      January 22, 2013

You all just say what allu want. As per an eyewitness, the guy was driving normal as ever and then his tyre just burst and that what caused him to run in the wall.

      • Malgraysa
        January 22, 2013

That’s another thing. Why are we importing other countries cast offs such as used tires? It is because they no longer meet saftety criteria why they reject them and ship them to places like Dominica, lumbering us with their waste at the same time .Who are the smart ones? On items like that, which are crucial for road safety there should be no import duty payable so there is no excuse for driving with bad, defect tires.

        January 21, 2013

You should always be alert for drivers and especially the ambulance. When you hear/see one approaching, your first reaction should be is to clear the way.
If the ambulance does not have a siren, one should be installed for emergency reasons. Therefore when other drivers and pedestrians hear the siren they must take note, apply common sense and immediately clear steer clear from the path of the ambulance. Drivers should immediately stop for the ambulance to pass. This is consideration and road courtesy. There should be no criticism and question about that. Always place yourself in the ambulance driver’s position, responding to an emergency, a sick person or probably an accident where people are injured. Someone’s life may be at stake. Surely you should not have to be told or reminded about that.

The sirens can be heard wayyyyy before you see the ambulance or fire service vehicle. Get your butt off the road as soon as you hear it. Dumb people.
