Accident near Woodbridge Bay

There is a traffic jam near Woodbridge Bay this morning following an accident involving four vehicles.

No injuries have been reported.

The police have managed to get one lane of traffic flowing but it is causing some inconvenience to commuter traveling to and from the capital city using that route.

Reports indicate that one of the vehicles, a Hi-Ace which was traveling out of Roseau, was hit by a truck forcing it to spin out of control. The Hi-Ace then hit another vehicle, a Noah, which was traveling towards Roseau. The Noah was catapulted into a Rav-4 that was traveling ahead of it near the Public Works Corporation complex.

i am expecting that the police are checking these drivers or who is responsible for causeing the accident for alchohol consumtion, because some of these motor vehicle operators dont seem to understand that driving impaired is dangerous and must be curtailed, its ridiculous these accidents, endangering inocent lives.

Admin, if de truck had hit de hiace bus it wud have sent it towards the sea. As a witness and one involved in de accident. The bus hit the truck and then came straight towards the Noah bus!!! Please get ur facts straight.

Other eye witness say is the truck driver that just cut across the road. Those truck drivers like to do that because they figure if you hit them is you that will mashup. The truck driver is the one who caused the accident, but the Hi-ace bus.

DNO – facts should be stated correctly.. The hi ace was the one that tried passin between the curb and the truck and lost control hittin the other vehicle.. it happened outside pwc and we saw it live… the truck did not hit the bus, the truck stopped first before the bus (under all its speed) tried to pass in the little space left

ADMIN: We report what we get from the police. If you think it is wrong call the police, tell them their report is inaccurate, and we in turn will correct. Every single so-called ‘eyewitness’ has a different account of the story.

It is high time that some sort of Law or fine be imposed or a time to travel on any route be placed on the Trailer Truck and Cement truck drivers who seem to think the road is theirs and they can speed, overtake, rush through traffic like they eh care who in their way. Thank God there was not a container on the trailer.

This is not related to the mentioned accident, and I am glad their were no injuries.

Police should check tyres the same way they spot check vehicles for tax/insurance etc.

A lot of vehicles, especially heavy lorries/trucks continue driving with very bald tyres, which is dangerous to other drivers if weather conditions are bad and roads become wet and slippery.

That trucking fraternity is like a maffia, apparently immune to the requirements of the law.Do the authorities really inspect these vehicles, seeing there are so many defective ones on the roads.Faulty lights, faulty breaks, poor tyres and often without the proper registration. Are they adequately insured and do their drivers have the appropriate C licence?

Thanks to God Almighty no one was injured… just an observation.. was ‘selassie’ and ‘noah’ having a debate which turned ugly… um driver of the hiace driver must remove this selassie sticker from the front of the vehicle.. put God in front of all ur dealings including ur vehicle… he is a jealous one…
