Family and friends of five-year-old Rachel Vigilant and two-month-old Sophia Vigilant- daughters of a Mahaut mother who allegedly stabbed them to death last Thursday – got a chance to say their final goodbyes. SEE PHOTO GALLERY BELOW STORY.

n, the pews of the People’s Pentecostal Church in Goodwill were filled to capacity as loved ones gathered to pay their respects to the infants whom many say had “gone too soon”.
One of the more memorable parts of the ceremony was towards the end when the church band and congregation joined their voices singing joyously the well known children’s hymn “Jesus loves the little children.”
Mourners embraced each other with hugs, kisses and smiles in attempts to drown the harsh reality of the tragedy that struck just a week ago.
The burial took place in a family burial plot in Delices.

I met Sarah this year a normal women who appeared loving towards her baby so only God knows what happened on that isolated night, but before you judge ask yourself do you know how much the human brain can take before it falls apart, maybe some of you are close to snapping because of the perils of life and relationships. We need more caring men, families. Look around you and may see there are more people with mental disabilities on the street than in institution we need to stop labeling people stop using the word crazy and ask yourselves why no one noticed and came to her rescue…are we so caught up in our lives to see when someone else is hurting. It can happen to you too our values have gone astray it is common place to have more than one women, it is ok to dissrespect it needs to stop. If disease does not get us then something else does until we wake up.

I must say i am sorry about what happen, but people open your eyes, my mother nearly killed me when i was a baby due to the same illness. Can u tell me why God saved me? This mental issue is very serious and i must say the level of ignorance in dominica, is really getting out of hand. Take a good look at the two photos and tell me does this look like a NORMAL PERSON TO U? Well thank you so very much to know that I have a fan of my writing, and a friend as well. Perhaps you have noticed that I did not take offense against DNO at all. Especially that I am aware that I do write too much. The reason is that I have a spiritual gift of writing, with a message that focus on the Word of God. In intend to publish a book entitled “A Testimony of Love–The Stature of Life” next year please God.

I would just like to sympathize with all who were affected by this tragedy. People need to stop being so judgmental. Only God knows what frame of mind this young woman was in when she committed these terrible acts. Only he can judge her. Instead of criticizing we need to support all of the families affected by praying for them. In spite of everything that has happened God is in control.

Judging is not for man to do. That’s the lord’s work. We should all put god first and everything else will follow. Anything we put before him he can or will take it away. Only god can be our everything. We should have more faith in him and trust him, not things of the world.They will let us down each and every time. The sooner we realize what god truly wants for us and why we go through the things we do,the better. If our only way to get closer to him is to suffer through the traps the enemy sets for us then that’s how it’s going to be. I am certain that there is no judgement against those two innocent children. We do not have to worry too much about them now. But even though it is possible that the five year old, beautiful little girl, had the privilege to remember something about her existence on earth, which is the reason God allows us to exist in the world, that we might chose to allow Him to reform us to know Him in Spirit and in Truth, I am sure that, that baby of two months knows nothing about her physical existence, which was so very short.
Was it God’s plan for her end to come so suddenly and through such a vicious manner? It is had to tell, but I am sure that there a message in that brutal killing for the rest of us. I hope that God is teaching me how to explain that message through this comment.
First of all, I have noticed one thing. It is the silence of the mother herself. If she has spoken, excuse my ignorance. But it seem as if we have simply accepted that she suffered from postpartum depression, and we use her state of mind as an excuse to justify such an evil and wicked behaviour. I once read that this kind of depression normally happen in people who give birth at an older age, like 35 years or so. This woman was just in her twenties, and that was her second child.
With this mentality we all surrender to the wickedness of Satan in our lives. It is like saying that everyone is justified to do wicked things because they have a mind that is insane. But our state of insanity is not from God and we fail to give Him the glory, as we say that she was insane and we hope for Him to forgive her. I am not saying that God won’t forgive her, but does she want His forgiveness?
Depression, postpartum or whatever, is a sickness of the flesh or a disturbance of the human mind, either way it is one of the ways Satan keeps us in his prison of death and darkness.
God knows that about Satan, and that is why He begins to call to us, from the day we begin to know that we exist in this world, to stay away from the evil traps of Satan. But the louder God calls to us the faster we run away from Him, just to fall into Satan’s destructive trap, however he sets that trap for us.
At the age of 20 and more, a person is old enough to make the choice to surrender to the Love of God, in Jesus Christ, and to know His comfort of peace and joy, regardless of the difficulty that he or she may be facing. We do not know the warning signs that God may have given to that young woman, which she could have ignored through selfish disobedience.
That mother of those two innocent little children was old enough to make a choice. The minute she chose to say yes, to the Love of God, in Jesus Christ, no evil in this world would have caused her to falter. I am speaking from personal experience, not just feeding you all with a line. Unfortunately, young mama, chose to allow herself to remain under the control of her human mind, and Satan used that privilege to keep her hidden from the comfort of God’s Love for her.
Because of the Love that we have, through faith in Jesus Christ, we can all come together in one accord, and to speak to God, on the behalf of that young woman. Yes, we can bear the burden with her. But that will not be enough. If she herself, does not raise her eyes and arms up to call to God in her own words, for His forgiveness, she has not chosen to allow Him to take that burden away from her.
Why do I believe that? Because I know that God knows our heart. He knows when we desire to be forgiven or accept rest in Him through our faith in Jesus Christ. God knows why we do the evil things that we do. God knows if we are selfish, if we are proud, and He knows if we are just simply ignorant of the evil that Satan can cause us to do against Him, because he hates God so much.
Because of our ignorance of Him and His Ways and with a humble attitude in us, God shows us mercy and compassion, as He protects us from the evil and wicked influence of Satan in our lives. But He will turn away from those who are proud, revengeful, and demonstrates no desire to do the things that pleases Him.
That is the time Satan comes in our lives to steal, kill, and destroy us, as he hands to us his sword of fear, evil, and wickedness. We use that sword against our own selves and the people whom we love.
I want to join with all of you, who have decided to bear the burden with that young woman. The reason is because I know what has happened in her mind. But I would like to know that she has come to terms with her behaviour. I would like to know that she has said a few words of confession to God for herself, because I know that God wants to hear her speak to Him. An idle prayer is the same as a fruitless conduct. I would hate to pray in vain.
God can only heal our mind, as by faith, our conscience will anoint this mind with His essence of Spirit and Truth–the balm of Love. It is only when our minds have been cleansed or consecrated with this powerful balm, that we will be able to overcome sickness, pain, suffering, and all of those affliction of the flesh that causes us to destroy ourselves and other people around us.

It’s very sad and our prayers goes out to the family of these lovely children especially the mother, I just hope that she will get the treatment that she needs she must pay for her crime but she needs help to understand what she did so I just hope those in the health systems will reach out to her she needs their help .
GOD will forgive her for her actions once she goes to him and ask for mercy and if she have a chruch family I hope they are surrounding her with their prayers and love also .I do believe we should be each others keeper to be able to prevent things like that to happen again.

I know these two precious little ones will be on your minds for a long time, but my advice to you all is LET GO AND LET GOD. He will take care of all of you. RIP little angels, Aunty was not able to pay her last respect, but I know you all are in a better place.. My Nephew Ian hold on strong, the good Lord will continue to guide you and the entire family. My prayers are with you all. We say the girls have gone to soon, but the Lord has the master plan.
It is so sad to read this…the same tears that came to my eyes when I first read of the incident, is the same tears I have today. Oh sweethearts, please forgive your Mom, and sleep as Angels. I pray your Mom can find peace and seek the Eternal Father to allow her to see you all again someday. Rest my little ones safely in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Atg first, I was very mad and upset after I herad of the incident. I am still mad about it, but with compassion for the families of the young lady. May the Good Lord continue to guide and keep you all. May the Good Lord touch the heart of the father. I hionestly run out of words.
