Boetica man missing

Themissing police are asking the public’s assistance in locating an elderly man from Boetica who has been reported missing.

Xavier St. Ville, 66, reportedly went rock fishing in an area called Chez Mouka, located between Boetica and Delices on June 22 and has not been seen since.

Searches conducted by the police and residence have proven futile.

The police say investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Xavier is asked to call the local police at 266-4403 or the police HINT line at 1-800-4468 or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-8477.

A very sad moment for the community of Boetica. Just less than three years ago, July 14, to be exact, the village experienced a similar incident when two young people were lost at sea, with one still missing. We share the grief of the family.

Fishermen doe tired die in this country? Eh! It seem no amount of death will convince fishermen to take more caution when going fishing. In this day and age, a man leaves his home and go fishing ALONE! His desire to keep all his catch to himself is more important to him that his safety? Now, because of bad decisions, the entire country is mourning the disappearance of a native. I really do not know how to say it again…….fishermen, you should always be accompanied on your missions.

I hope everything is all right with him but people PLEASE! We’ve entered the hurricane season and are encountering numerous tropical waves/storms. Please refrain from any body of water that may endanger your lives.

Prayers are needed. Mr St Ville and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. At 66 he’s a young man and I hope that he’s found safe and well. God bless.

Will Senior Citizen make You Happy?

    • Justice and Truth
      June 24, 2013

This is how they are called. In fact, today, in this so-called modern day era, the words are “senior citizen”, you know to make it sound more polished and dignified rather than say, an old person or an older person as used to be the norm in previous years.
Granted, the saying is, “You are as old as you feel.” They may feel well with no health impairment but when you hit the 50-year mark or earlier, from thereon it is “elderly”. That is life. It is not discriminating to state it. When you think of it, in 4 years he will be 70 years.
I like to say, “God does not care two hoots!” What is important is we love and serve him and through him, for the love of him, we love and serve others. Young or old (er), in the end this is what really matters.
