A man was killed Monday morning in an accident which appears to involve a malfunctioning power grinder.
The police have identified the man as 36-year-old Anselm St. Luce of Boloom, Grand Bay.
According to police PRO, Inspector John Carbon, Anselm was using the power grinder, which was attached to an electrical power outlet on his porch, when the blade flew off and lodged into his left groin area.
He succumbed to the injury on the porch where he was pronounced dead by the district medical officer.
The body was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital Mortuary pending a post mortem examination.
Inspector Carbon said that investigations are continuing.

It is carryons like this that cause people to lose faith in religion.
Birth and death are two natural phases of life. This type of prayer is like saying to God He is not doing His work so we have to plead with Him to remember us and save us from His own natural laws.
Geez, people we are in the 21st century. Draw your minds out of the 1st. So long as we are born we HAVE to die. That is God’s law. Even Lazarus had to go when his time came.
What we do not want are sickoes who make it dangerous for others to walk the streets or just be alive, or careless people who cause unnecessary suffering to others, because this short trip through life can be beautiful if we decide to make it so.
Let up on God, will you? Stop suggesting that He is asleep on His job.
Why should you lose faith in religion because of the prayer of someone? It makes no sense. If your faith is weak then you will lose faith. One whose faith is strong and not a cradle/tepid Christian will never lose faith and by no means because of the prayer of someone. Allow people the right to post their prayers. You have a right to make any form of comment and expect them to accord you this right. This is the Golden Rule.
Reading what was written by the writer I see nothing about religion. All I see and understand is someone seeking the face of Jehovah on behalf of their fellowman and country, is that a crime?
