NEWS PHOTO: Landslide in Blenhim

A landslide – caused by heavy rains – occurred early this morning at Blenhim in northern Dominica (just before the village of Anse De Mai).

The landslide prevented scores of people – construction workers, teachers, airport workers etc – from going to work this morning.

    JUST A FEW POINTS.
THANK GOD NO ONE WAS HURT. THERE SHOULD BE A SECOND ROUTE IN MANY PARTS OF DOMINICA. STOP BLAMING SKERRIT FOR ALL THAT IS WRONG IN DOMINICA, LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR ACTIONS/SELFS. THINGS THAT ARE WRONG WERE WRONG BEFORE SKERRIT.

I hope everything was and is okay now. Landslides can be very very dangerous especially when there is a vast amount of rain falling.

We need a secondary. Route in situations like this,.
That means everytime a landslide blocks the main thruway, onelp
.i has to hope and pray where they need be, will be there when they get to his/her destination .What a shame.!!
