It is really amazing how quick some of us are to blame someone about everything that happened… I am pleased to report that the student at the hospital is in high spirits and we are continuing to pray for her complete recovery and for the peace of mind of those children who are traumatized. We at the Temple SDA Primary School are indeed that our lives were spared during this accident on Thursday; it could have been a lot worse but thank God for His protective hands and mercies upon us!! May his name continue to be exalted forever!!

      February 2, 2012

no, the shame is on u. we blame the government for any and every thing that happens.what? u think Skerrit loosened the screws on the tyre to? Oh,no, maybe Mathew Walter dug a pothole. fool!! grow up!! we all make mistakes but we never listen, we always jump and say all sorts of things to bring down our own people when things happen. Just thank God that it wasn’t worse.
no wonder our beautiful country will never reach its peak. we still got negative obstacles like u!!

Grell what stupidiness you talking there. Why we have to make everything in Dominica political. Everything that happen is government. We need to stop this nonsense and everyone looking the mirror then alot of the problems in this country will be taking care off instead of always trying to blame someone else or the governement. People are driving to ridiculous in Domininca right now and everyone has to start looking at themselves. The police cannot be every where and that goes for the whole world, or else the whole world will be crime free. Praise god is not on the west coast road the accident was because we would find some stupid reason to try and blame the chinese. Stop this stupidness in Dominica and start reasoning more sensible

Well this bus driver is not an idiot because I, as one of the parents, took the bus with them the morning before and he was driving at a regular speed. He always drives with caution.

Everyday we should pray as we never know what can happen. I could have lost my daughter today! Jeez! She is sooo frightened by this although she only travels on the bus every morning.

The school bus driver was not at fault to my understanding so let’s just hope and pray all the students can recover from this. They were all shaken and checked upon by the hospital.

Bruises, etc children falling on one another…ouch I can only imagine what would have gone thru my head. if my daughter was there.

the law guys should check this bus well.
tires etc….was it in good working condition, status of driver etc..

critical points? dont leave any stone unturn, as we likely do in dominica

      February 2, 2012

I agree to a point that we should check everything, however there do not seems to be any insurance, MOT or licence needed for SOME people to drive, the safety of vehicles on the road is a joke in Dominica. I was in DA recently and it seems that getting to where u want to go is more important than safety, i see people sitting on people, the buses could be full to the brim, the driver still stops and people are expected to move up or rather sit on the person next to them so everyone can fit, and to my horror one of the passengers excuses for such ignorance was as she puts it”everybody want to get to work is not far we going” I had to ask her, if it was on her lap the person was going to sit.
Drivers are driving with their wind screen cracked, tyres smooth as a baby’s bottom and I was told by a friend of mind that the police would not say anything, because when that same policeman want to visit his woman and needs a ride in the night he is happy to travel on his vehicle with smooth tyres, so how then can he caution him in the day about driving a unworthy transport, its madness, yes things are a bit better some of the drivers have their badges, but we all know that until something happens no action will be taken.
