The Dominica Fair Trade Organization is reporting an increase in banana production for this year.
Business manager of the Dominica Fair Organization Dave Lloyd says despite the low records in production last year, things are looking up with greater expectations.
He says the $1-million investment under the banana recovery programs is one of the major contributors to the increase in production this year.
Lloyd says production this year as compared to week 20 of last year is encouraging.
“We are already making an improvement,” he said. “If you compare production from last year to this year; our production is already above that. Based on our estimates it should continue to increase.”
where are the stats and figures. well lloydie I guess u have to sing for them to reniew the contract
Great news! BUT, where’s the Stats?
I remember the boxing plant days at fond cole. u could not even get place to park.
We need a more detailed report in order to make a sensible evaluation.
But where are the numbers. Huh. Isn’t it strange that we hear of the one million but can’t be told by what percentage or tons has production increase by.
For the sake of the banana growers i wish this is true
let’s get back to the green gold,,, just imagine if our gov’t gave the agricultural industry the attention it truly deserves,,,,
Thats nice to no
