National Farmers consultation scheduled for Wednesday

The Caribbean Farmers Network (CAFAN), formed in 2004, is a regional network of farmer organizations and groups.

CAFAN’s major focus is to foster linkages, training and information sharing amongst Caribbean farmers so that they are in a better position to respond to the challenges faced by Caribbean farmers.

CAFAN, with membership in over 16 countries, organizes training workshops, consultations, study tours, planning sessions, and produces a variety of publications.

The network is currently engaged in a series of national consultations to raise awareness, establish national focal points, explore export opportunities and seek new partnership for the development of the network.

The national consultation for Dominica will take place on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 at the Dominica Public Service Union  on Valley Road, Roseau from 9:00a.m.

The consultation will include remarks from CAFAN officials, government officials and opportunities for discussions/interactive feedback.

CAFAN, therefore, takes this opportunity to invite a representative of your media organization to attend the consultation.
