It has been reported that a fake social media profile of the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, has been created. The Office of the Prime Minister released a statement stating that the fake profile used an unusual photo and foul language to slander and libel the Prime Minister, and has consequently been reported to the appropriate website to be taken down.
The fake profile was discovered to have an “e” missing from Browne’s name; a technical misspelling.
Antigua and Barbuda is currently in the middle of campaigning for the St Mary’s South by-election, scheduled for October 24. The Office of the Prime Minister believes that the fake profile was created to persuade young voters to reduce their faith in the successful nine-year tenure of Prime Minister Browne.
Meanwhile, the United Progressive Party (UPP) has denied involvement in such unethical tactics and suggested that the Prime Minister focus his investigation efforts closer to his camp to identify the culprit responsible for creating the fake profile. The UPP has urged the Prime Minister to involve law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to unveil the truth behind this disturbing incident.

Fake profile? Gaston is everything he is accused of. If one were to listen to his recent tirade in St. Mary’s South, it was the behaviour of a mad man. The guy is most definitely unhinged.
What I have realised today is many of the resent heads of government are nothing but foul-mouthed, undisciplined, roguish, ‘tiefing’ misfits.
Let us briefly examine Antigua under the tenure of this Adolf Hitler impersonator. The present national debt of A&B is around $3B ($3 000 000 000). Civil servants and pensioners are often paid late every month or owed. He has ‘given away’ large swaths of the people’s patrimony to descendants of former slave owners. The man has honestly earned the contempt most Caribbean people harbour for him.
Truth be told, Gaston and his apprentice in Dominica, have given the Caribbean region a permanent black-eye.
This is reminiscent of some of the tricks used by operatives from the UWPwee’s Dirty Tricks Division.
