O. D. Brisbane & Sons (Dominica) Ltd. and SoftLogic Systems of Canada have launched TurboBroker Customs Software Package in Dominica.
Importers, Exporters, Shipping Agents, Customs Brokers and other industry officials were well represented at the half-day forum held recently at the Garraway Hotel.
Merchants, Shipping Agents and individual brokers who attended the event had the opportunity to explore the software which is guaranteed to increase efficiency and productivity in the preparation of customs declarations and shippers manifests.
An overview of the benefits, functions and functionalities of the software suite was presented.
The presentation demonstrated how the software can increase the quality and efficiency of work and how it integrates with Government systems, particularly Customs’ processes.
The software suite is a cost effective, user-friendly solution for anyone interested in reducing duplication of data entry for document preparation and allows users to perform analysis and print several reports (including the required customs reports and several costing reports) with only one data input.
It stores information for years and thereby allows easy and ready access to previous records. Additionally, the software can be tailored to the specific needs of a company or user.
The suite of products include:
1. TurboBroker Customs Module
2. TurboShip Customs Module
3. TurboVAT Tax Module
4. TurboBroker Lite.

Very good,so now let’s see “turbo” duty free customs for those of us who would like to come home and start business, how about that?
What about the Asycuda Softeware released by customs
This will interface with Asycuda. But it’s just a more comprehensive software module for Customs Brokers that can be “tailor made” to each Broker’s need.
I am of the considered opinion that since this relates and can be tied to the movement of goods across borders and the simplification of documentation and processes and increased cost and time efficiency in customs procedures that the Ministry of Trade should be so invited to these events. Embracing knowledge and contributing to the same are always part of the agenda of Government departments.
You mean the Ministry of Trade was not invited? What I hearing there!!!
