CARICAD convenes Sub-regional Training Workshop in Monitoring and Evaluation

Participants sub-regional workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation (CARICAD/World Bank)

The Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) is currently convening a sub-regional training workshop in Monitoring and Evaluation in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Commonwealth of Dominica.

This three-day workshop takes place from December 6th to 8th, 2011 and includes participants from three member states of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), namely: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and St. Kitts and Nevis.

This training workshop is one of the activities under CARICAD’s Institutionalising Performance Programme. It is being facilitated by CARICAD and Universalia- a Canadian Consulting Firm. The objective of the workshop is to further the development of Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks in the public services of the OECS countries.

Prior to convening this sub-regional workshop, CARICAD engaged Universalia to conduct a diagnostic survey on the status of Monitoring and Evaluation application within the OECS region. The results of that survey were considered in designing appropriate training activities for this workshop.

In addition to this sub-regional workshop, CARICAD will also conduct a national training workshop in Monitoring and Evaluation on December 9th, 2011 in Dominica. National training workshops will also take place in Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis later this month and have already taken place in Saint Lucia and Grenada in November, 2011.
