A senior officer at the Customs & Excise Department informed participants at a Dominica Association of Industry & Commerce (DAIC) organized and hosted workshop that a helpdesk will soon be functional at his agency.
Manager of ASYCUDA World© at the Dominica Customs, Wilford Joseph, said this (Monday) morning, “ASYCUDA World© project staff currently provide a virtual helpdesk service but soon, pretty soon, we’ll have a dedicated, functional helpdesk staffed by competent Customs Agents.”
Workshop participants were also informed that an information website is also in the making to provide port users with critical information necessary to transact business with the Customs.
Joseph made the statements in the course of his department’s presentations at a Workshop being executed by the DAIC, targeting Chinese traders and other merchants who are not complying with critical regulations.
The workshop’s focus is capacity building.
It would be nice if they would break down the barrier to that help desk, or else keep it strickly yrs strickly on LINE
GOOD JOB MR JOSEPH I KNOW IF YOU SAY IT COMING SOON THEN SO BE IT IT WILL COME SOON. YOU AND YOUR TEAM KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WE MOVING FORWARD EVER BACKWARD NEVER.
U guys have to check the USA too, ok. Because under some of the UN’s Comercial Regulations the USA has breached some of the rules.Lets not turn a blind eyes.
The set up of a Help Desk at Customs and Excise is much appreciated and I am sure that such a move will help improve doing business with Customs and Excise and the general public
