The vote’s been a close one, with 48 per cent – that’s 370 of those who participated in DNO’s latest poll giving the thumbs down to Dominica investing in financially troubled regional airline LIAT.
However 46 per cent – 354 – support the decision by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to pump $8-million into LIAT.
Six per cent of those who voted – 53 – said they were not sure.
This particular poll attracted a total of 777 votes.
Critics have been suggesting that the money could have been spent in other ways.
Re: The recent poll, win loose or draw, our $8oooooo.oo is gone. No refund.
At the end of the day, what’s done is done. Now Mr. PM, just be straight up with your people and tell us what this deal will get us.

until and unless a alternative airline is found, Dominica needs LIAT and the Government justified in trying to prop it up.
We definitely need Liat.
