interCaribbean Airways celebrating 26 years of continuous services, is pleased to announce new nonstop schedule services from Dominica to St Lucia and Tortola, with 1 stop easy connections via Tortola to St Thomas, St Croix, Sint Maarten, San Juan, Providenciales and Santo Domingo.
Travelers can make two-stop connections via interCaribbean flights to Kingston and Nassau. Even allowing for two stops this is still one of the fastest travel times in the Caribbean.
Flights to and from Dominica begin on March 22 with 3 weekly flights as follows:
DOM = Dominica Douglas Charles Airport, EIS = Tortola Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport, SLU = St. Lucia – Castries International Airport.
interCaribbean has expanded its schedule to new points throughout the Caribbean connecting more of the Caribbean than any other Caribbean Airline.
CEO Trevor Sadler, stated: “We are pleased to begin connecting Dominica with our Caribbean, bringing affordable air fares to this latest interCaribbean destination”. We look forward to welcoming Citizens and Residents aboard and adding new connections and cities that Dominica can enjoy.
Mr. Colin Piper. Director of Tourism, Dominica welcomes the new service, stating: “interCaribbean is giving Dominicans new choices to fly to and from Dominica and more connections to more places, the service is very timely and very welcome. We look forward to the launch and anticipation of service to further islands.”
I will take my winair
great to have another carrier service the area . whether it is once or twice a week , that is an improvement .
You see that. They block them from flying between Dominica and Antigua. liar afraid of competition and want to keep fleecing us.
Another fly by night operation.
At this moment DOM has no night flights.
Another Skerrit white elephant.
I beg to differ Anthony. They have been around , in one guise or another and operate more aircraft than Liat, 8 Brasilian Embraer 120’s for a start and two regional jets to follow.
Furthermore, as far as I know they do not rely on government subventions to survive as does Liat.
Good for the much needed link up to Dominica.
When will Dominica get an international airport ? Last year Skerro said that there was a Chinese consortium in Da carrying a survey and that we should have an Int. Airport by 2019. Can Dominican who votes him year in year out tell me what is the status of the airport?
It will never come. No money.
We so not need an international airport. If we have one what will be in it it willl just be empty.
More airlines to serve a region where the cost of air travel is out of the reach of most people because the various regional governments look at it as a cash cow to be taxed to death.
Who are the local agents in Dominica??
They should operate @ Canefield with Their Beech 99s and Twin Otters . I think TIA would be starting a litrle later with B 99s and Twin Otters to SLU UVF BGI & GND
Who can afford to fly anyway. I working for 30 yrs and I dont waste money and still cannot travel. Cost of living is just too high in Dominica. It got much worse with Maria. Smh
They should operate with the smaller aircraft @ Canefield . I think TIA will be starting soon operating from BGI SLU UVF & GND
Is this the airline from the Turks & caicos islands? This airline had to come for us to have air service between Dominica and St Lucia….with our beloved Liat we have to go via Antigua or Barbados that is literally going north or south before arriving at Castries. I hope this new service lasts and it is profitable for the airline
When TIA begins service they will also be going to SLU even UVF BGI amd GND Castries Vieut Fort Bridgetown And Grenada
Still cannot out fly LIAT. LIAT still the best.
Are you kidding?
Liat going the same way as Caribbean from Trinidad because too much interference and bloated with friends and and extended family of the top boys and girls. Any company like that can never be efficient.
great job bring on more inter-Caribbean airlines
How many Passengers can this flight take? Are they getting ready to replace Seaborne?
It’s an Embraer EMB-120 so somewhere around 26-30 passengers.
The aircraft in the photo is 30 passenger Embraer 120. It’s the largest aircraft in Inter-Caribbean Airlines’ fleet. They also operate the smaller Beech 99 (15 passengers) and the well-known Twin Otter (19 passengers).
They should operate @ the Canefield Airport with the Beech 99 and Twin Otter . TIA should start soon @ the Canefield Airport.
