LIAT Quikpak experiences temporary setback

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The Management of LIAT (1974) Limited wishes to advise the general public that the recent fire at its maintenance facility has forced the temporary suppression of internet service to its Quikpak Headquarters located in the Cargo Terminal at the V.C. Bird International Airport.

It is envisaged that internet connections will be restored by Wednesday June 13 enabling customers to track their shipments.

In the meantime LIAT Quikpak customers can contact the company via the LIAT Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/liat1974ltd or by phone at 268-480-5728 or 268-480-5736.

The resumption of normal delivery of Quikpak throughout the LIAT network should resume on Wednesday June 13 as full access to the Quikpak Centre has  been restored.

LIAT Quikpak sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers by this incident.

They are suggesting a temporary suppression for internet tracking, but I can assure you that the normal movements of actual quickpack packages will be delayed as well.

I do not understand this at all. Is LIAT saying that the operations room as it relates to the “Internet Tracking” of quickpack packages was the same area where the fire took place? Was the computer burnt? Was the server destroyed in the fire? Or is it that the persons who tracked these packages do not have an office to operate from?

The fire was at a hanger, where repairs of aircrafts takes place. Oil and fuel and tools were stored there. Please!!!!

A building can be in two parts It those not mean the office was exactly where their tools are. Thing with your brain.
