Eight lucky winners walked away today with a wide range of household appliances including blenders, microwaves, cake mixers, juicers, and pressure cookers.
The lucky eight took part in a Roseau Co-operative Credit Unit (RCCU) Christmas promotion which ran from December 1, 2009 to the first week of January, 2010; 400 loan applicants during that period qualified to participate in the promotion.
Speaking at a small presentation ceremony this morning, RCCU General Manager Aylmer Irish said the promotion was in the institution’s thrust to bring its service to its members.
RCCU Processing Manager Mavis Williams told the ceremony that during the Christmas season the institution embarked on the program to give back to customers.
“We had embarked on special program to encourage you to enhance the quality of your life by accessing loans during the Christmas seasons with the intention of getting something in return…As a result of that, we have selected eight persons from the four hundred and something persons who have really accessed the loans during this time to get a small gift for your participation,” Williams said.
The winners of the draw were Theodora Joseph of Loubiere, Vincia Joseph of Pottersville, Wynant Abraham of Canefield, Sylvester Joseph of Citronier, Elizabeth Dailey of Stockfarm, Mona Joseph of Fortune Road and Taisha Hill of Loubiere, and Bryant Samuel.
