BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Thursday July 21, 2011 – Barbados-based budget carrier REDjet has received the official approval it was waiting for to add Jamaica to its list of destinations but regional travellers hoping to take advantage of low fares to Kingston won’t get the chance this summer.
CEO Ian Burns says flights are likely to begin in October.
REDjet this week launched its Barbados-Trinidad route after getting the green light from aviation authorities in Port of Spain and although Jamaica followed suit, the airline was waiting for the final word.
When will they start flying into Dominica?
Big stupessssssssss eh Redjet, we’ll remain in the same position in Dca….case in point Liat has their “just go” promotion for everywhere else but Dominica…just go but just don’t go to Dca that’s what they saying!
why is this in the news? not like we gonna benifit here in DA!!!!!!!!
Don’t u think this is an important piece of news? What happen, are u ashame that your government has failed to put the neccessary infrastructure in place to accomodate such airlines?
When will they start flying to DA?
what we need is more island. give liat some damn competition. i fly on liat sometime 6 time a year and they still treat me like crap. no intensive to travel and now not even a damn coke u can get on the plane.
they started this frequent flyer thing and never went through with it, just cause they don’t want to give their loyal customers anything.
Im in total agreement with u..competition is what LIAT wants..I myself travel a few times per year and their flights r usually delayed, then sometimes u have to suffer the indignity of eating chips early in the morning, not even a sandwich and their tickests r so expensive. I await some fresh competition, be it REDjet or anyone else.
