Any websites offering Mermaid Secret Cottage at 3 Rivers South East Dominica, or anything similar is a scam, and is not connected in any way whatsoever with 3 Rivers & Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge in Dominica.
We do not have a cottage with that name.

I would like to point out that in fact the name 3 Rivers does not exist as an area in Dominica, and never has done. It only exists as my legally registered business name, and I have the sole intellectual property rights on the name 3 Rivers in Dominica.
Using my legal name in a false address to confuse guests is a breach of my intellectual property rights and is, as such, illegal.
The Mermaid Secret is my neighbour, and this is a clear attempt to fool potential clients into thinking they are the famous 3 Rivers.
The correct address for both properties is Newfoundland Estate, Rosalie, Dominica.
3 Rivers is our registered name in The Commonwealth of Dominica, and anyone else using it is doing so under false pretences.
The only legal name 3 Rivers is Dominica 3 Rivers Eco Lodge, and our partner Rosalie Forest eco Lodge.
When visiting in 2013, many locals referred to the mentioned area as 3 Rivers ( we got lost coming to the area). We split our 10 day stay and spent 5 days at the Mermaid Secret. We pulled on to the property and was immediately greeted by an angry man yelling at me . He (Jem) screamed that we could not park in the unmarked area. I apologized and told him that I was looking for the owner of Mermaids Secret. He was quite the jerk! After staying at Mermaids Secret and walking up the road to 3 Rivers, I can see why he is so angry. Three Rivers looked run down, was littered with debris and was quite dumpy. I have to chalk up his to pettiness to competitive jealousy!

having tried to stay at the now defunct 3 rivers eco lodge some years ago (we actually chose to sleep in our rental car as the conditions there were SO disgusting) I am not surprised that it went down in a ball of flames- And I am amazed that Mr. Winston has the front to carry on with an “eco lodge”- he cant get any repeat business.He seems set on harassing all of those around him- small minded; Crabs in a Barrel menatlity

Interesting after reading all these comments for them to have chosen to use my name in their adverts when they think so highly of my award winning establishment.
More interesting that the fake advert has now been corrected by the offending website, so clearly too they knew they were wrong or they would not have removed it.

In business 3 Rivers is not equal to three rivers!!! Is somebody offering mermaid secret services at 3 rivers or is mermaid secret services set within the ambience of three rivers. But again dem both fighting for de same river!!! look at dem photos on the webpages. somebody have a serious beef!!!
You are actually drawing more attention to Mermaids tale, just went on their site, I love it fresh concept. Be prepared to lose some business because you are pushing people there. Next time i visit, I will surely go see what they have to offer. And please you should give fair competition a break.

Is Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge a recovering substance abuse center? If so, it’s not working.
Google the area and you will see 3 rivers coming down a hill, try it. Stop a Dominican and ask him where is 3 rivers and he will tell you an area, not a man or a business, try it. These Rosalie people are bringing trouble where none should exist, but the area exist. Mermaids Secret Website look like a better place so maybe the hype will work in their favor.

After I searched for “The Mermaid Secret” in Dominica it became clear that Mr. Winston has beef with his neighbours. The official site does not indicate that this property is at “3 Rivers” it actually says this “Set between three rivers in the rainforest of Dominica”.
I am not sure why Mr. Winston is trying to discredit this ‘competitor’ but his method lacks class. The title of the article is misleading and boardline defamatory and I recommend readers of this article visit the Mermaid Secret website as well as that of Rosalie Eco/3 Rivers and draw their own conclusions.

After reviewing the sites you listed I must say just by visual appeal I would visit Mermaid’s 1st. The other website is just plain crappy. No wonder Mr. have beef with his neighbor.
Anyone should be smart enough to know that a website with such a long address MUST be fake or bogus. There are almost no forward slashes or colons in that address, as normal addresses posses.

Don’t you realize that this is one businessman who has the legal rights to a business name bashing his neighbor for using part of the name in advertising? No sort of scam as he tries to tell us. The neighbor may be wrong for using it in advertising but one must also note that the area where the businesses are located is now commonly known as 3 Rivers so anyone in that area can advertise using the common name of the area.

This is so funny – as if anyone would ever stay at # Rivers these days. Having just left there myself, after refusing to even sleep the night there, it is just absolutely disgusting – filthy, full of rats, old broken down cars, peculiar owner who just seemed to sit and drink & smoke and not be interested in having any guests at all. I think in its day it may have been very good but this dog has certainly had its day.
