Those who were planning to buy shares in a local tissue paper company will have to wait a little bit longer as a planned forum organized to sell the shares has been discontinued.
“Grassroots Investment Pitching,” an initiative by Nature Island Paper Products Incorporated (NIPP Inc), was set to take place at the Garraway Hotel on Thursday but organizers have said the event has been postponed.
This is due to an accident involving Managing Director of the Company, Severin McKenzie.
No new date has been set for the forum.
“Grassroots Investment Pitching” was part of moves by NIPP Inc to capture the entire Dominican market, of which it has 25 to 30 percent penetration, and simultaneously, make use of the OECS Economic Union, to expand its base.
i would hesitate to buy shares from a company that can only operate when the manager is fully engaged, hope he is ok
Who told you the company “can only operate when the manager is fully engaged”? I am pretty sure that the paper products are being manufactured as we speak. The forum is postponed due to an accident which involved the managing director, the one who was scheduled to make the presentation at the forum. So if due to unforseen circumstances, an accident, he is unable, what does that have to do with operating the company, or using that to assess the operations of the company. At least the company has let the public know, well in advance that the forum will not take place, and the reason why.
So are you implying that the company is closed presently because I went there and business is up and running an operational.
@ WHAT Wonder if you know how stupid you are. You don’t have money say that. You are one of Skerrits slave, and therefore you cannot have NO da-MONEY not even to buy bread. SO SHUT THE HELL UP!
Hope Mr. McKenzie is ok. Waiting for the new date to be announced.
