CARICOM statement on Haiti violence

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is deeply concerned that the contrasting incidents involving the Haitian national Police indicate the severity of the challenges that the police face as well as further breakdown in security in Haiti.

CARICOM strongly condemns the killing of police officers and expresses its condolences to the families of the officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The anger and dismay of the police at the gruesome killings of their colleagues, 78 killed since July 2021and 14 to date this January, are shared by all. However, abandoning the role of the security forces to protect every citizen and maintain public order further destabilizes the country. The protest actions by members of the police service against the Prime Minister cannot be condoned.

CARICOM urges the members of the Haitian National Police to safeguard peace and order and refrain from actions which could only serve to foster even greater damage to the country and its people.

Go to the book of Revelations for all the causes and reasons for world affairs. Meanwhile, enjoy your freedom to post your comments which will never change the course of world events. The time isn’t in an infinite distance when the way of life is reverted to 15 and 16 centuries. You will no longer have DNO or other such medium to insult your fellow men or to freely speak your mind. A significant amount of Bible prophesy have already been fulfilled without any acknowledgement from man. “The fool have said in his heart, there is no God.” They are vain in their imagination pretending to be wise, they become fools. Have any of your “intelligent” comments brought about any Beneficial changes to man? Maybe not. Therefore, in vain you seek to be recognized for your “intellectual” contributions but they are quickly forgotten and passes away as a cloud which returns not. King Solomon had wisdom and he said, “The whole duty of man is to fear God.” This system is on its way out. Fear God N live

This statement seems rather weak and lacking foresight since the plight of the Haitian people is not considered but moreso that of the governmental structure and the maintenance of control, and authoritarianism. This reflects on the thinking and approach of our CARICOM leaders as to how we’re considered, no compromise in the interest of we the people but just the maintenance of power of access to resources. The prime minister should step down and meet the needs of the Haitian people, Haiti is about the Haitian people not a selected few

I wonder if the people talking about RSS and Salisbury remember Dominican police were sent to Grenada as members of the CPF in 1983.The people of Salisbury declared WAR on the citizens of Dominica. They blocked, and set the main road of fire, preventing citizens from going about their lawful business. They threatened and stoned the police,so much so the leader of the opposition sang”Cool wish Bawi will come down like rain on the police” Dominica is a member of RSS and can call upon them anytime, ask Nicholas George.Teargas is to disperse crowds,if RSS used teargas in Salisbury it mean a crowd was gathered, ask Patrickson Albert Firing teargas at people’s home in Salisbury at 04.00 hrs is BS and to do that the houses had to be opened, ask Gabriel Butcher St.Jean and Kelvin Jackas. Jones Albert. And for those aholes who did not know Dominican police served as peace- keepers in Haiti.

Caricom and its likes should pay very very close attention to what’s going on in Haiti because Dominica is headed in the same direction. Having said that, we all recognize there is only one solution to Haiti but are afraid to say so. A joint military invasion/ occupying force made up primarily of Caribbean forces accompanied by the New Haitian Army (not Police) must move into Haiti immediately. All opposing Forces needs to be taken out, the gangs be sent to prison or to meet their maker and a Government of national unity be appointed with a mandate for general elections in 1 year. In addition, the almost 1 million people currently incarcerated without case file immediately released under some kind of amnesty program.

No BS! Unless Haiti is cleansed by any means necessary it will remain a failed state and meca for corruption.

Padna France, Britain Canada and U.S are orchestrating this whole operation that has had Haiti under threat of bombings, coups and heavy military operations to where it is today. There’s nothing the Haitians can do unless good people push/support the removal of the devastating stranglehold. Remember Haiti was the first slave holding country to FREE themselves from enslavement. These countries vow to NEVER forget that and they band together to crush Haiti. After France paid reparations to their slave holding brothers, they in co with the U.S imposed the most stringent tax, took all wealth the Haitians had and “installed” their choice including Papa Doc created by the U.S to do their work, that’s another 60yrs before they made another change, in their favor.
Hey, you need to Youtube this eye opening Documentary “Debt Coups and Colonialism in Haiti” to begin getting an idea of what’s been going on to Haiti. It’s dispicable and dead wrong, find the facts.

Hey! It’s time to change over to a new page. Every time Haiti is in a predicament ( which they are accustomed to) you “historians” always go back to what the Haitians did empteen years ago. So what have they done since besides killing off themselves and involving themselves in demonic spirits and all uncleanliness. They seem to have a culture of corruption and greed.

You still don’t seem to get it. When you use words such as demonic spirits, uncleanness, corruption and greed you are only describing their oppressors, but because of their propaganda machines that brainwashed us, they make it seem it’s the Haitians own doing. Duh!
You do need to view the YouTube documentary “Debt Coups and Colonialism in Haiti”. Verify any info they present, there are many others, but verify.

Every time there is a serious upsurge in violence in Haiti CARICOM stays on the sideline giving lip service but no concrete plans or contrition to stem the bloodbath.

Extreme poverty, political instability, joblessness, corrupt governments, desperation, political division are perennial problems making the inhabitants resorting to desperate measures.

If CARICOM is worth its salt, they should be able to galvanize the world’s help to bring some sort of relief to this very melancholy situation in Haiti. Actions not words are desperately needed at this point in time for our isolated sister country.

@Ibo France – CARICOM is nothing more than a glorified talkshop. They are quite good at issuing these face-saving press releases. I wonder if one of its media officers used CHATGPT to write that press release above.

It is interesting to note how the CARICOM member countries who are part of the Regional Security System (RSS) seem quite reluctant to mobilize & send their tear-gas-firing RSS soldiers to Haiti to fire tear gas and help quell the unrest there. However, these tear-gas-firing RSS soldiers were quickly mobilized & on-time in the early hours of December 5, 2019 to fire tear gas in non-war zone Salisbury, Dominica as unarmed civilians slept peacefully in their beds.

In Haiti where it has REAL Bad Man and where tear gas firing is truly needed, the tear-gas-firing RSS soldiers are a no show as of now. It would appear the RSS is only good at playing tough & strong when it encounters unarmed civilians asleep in their beds.

Your white-supremacist ideology is thorough and stinks of the type of Black person you are, yes you are Black, and you all are a dime-a-dozen for the likes of Trump to place you right behind him – “here’s my Blacks”. :-x

CARICOM needs a History refresher to seek reparations from France and USA for Haiti. Any structure built on a compromised foundation is doomed to collapse.

1697- Spain and France divided Hispaniola into Haiti and Dominican Republic.
1750s- Haiti, once called The Jewel of the Antilles, was the richest colony in the world providing as much as 50% of the GNP of France. (currently import over 60% of its food)
1804- Haiti became the first “black” republic.
1838- France (and the world) would not recognize Haiti unless it paid for lands of former slave owners taken over after the revolution. Finally, President Boyer of Haiti accepted a 150 million franc debt to pay this indemnity [estimated at $21 billion today].
1915- The US marines invaded Haiti and took over control of the collection of revenues, the banks, and forced through a new “Haitian” constitution which repealed the 1804 provision that foreigners could never own land in Haiti.

Haiti now a battered spouse abused by her…

Let’s face it folks, Haiti is a lost cause. I am not sure anyone can save that country.
They got screwed by the French from 1804 and have not recovered since.

Yes the western countries France, US, Canada, Spain and Britain can simply end the stranglehold they placed on Haiti, end the carnage and pay the same reparations they paid to their enslavers for losing their slaves not to long ago. That’s it!

Man, that is too simplistic. Who would that reparation be paid to, another Papa Doc. They simply would deposit offshore, live the life of Reilly , you remember a creature called Baby Doc and the gangs buy more guns …, probably from the USA. It is too easy to blame others for your own problems bro and expect them to go away.

Has Caricom ever made a statement on Black oppression in America? Mass incarceration, police brutality, genocide under the guise of abortion?

The intentional destruction of the black family through feminism, LGBT propaganda, media indoctrination etc?

Have they ever made a statement about Chinese oppression of blacks in China?

How about the gradual imperialism of Chinese interests throughout the Caribbean?

How about colourism in the Caribbean?

How about any issue that affects black people?

Have Caribbean security forces ever been deployed to protect afro-caribbean interests? or are they only there to oppress afro-caribbeans like they notoriously did in Bawi?

Haiti is messsed up, but the people there are fighting to resist colonisation – the rest of the Caribbean are just too well indoctrinated to understand that!

fighting colonisation my @#$. Haitians are just animalistic vile people. Just look at how they behave in another man’s country tells you all you need to know about how they behave in their own. Black people need to start taking responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming the “system” everytime.

Nobody is forcing black people into crime that lead to them getting arrested and convicted, or to abort their babies or get into all this LGBT stuff, or to have children out of wedlock or abandon their children and so on. This LGBT pro abortion anti-family agenda was the main focus of Black Lives Matter, yet the same black people crying on the system supported them just because some criminals lost their lives while resisting arrest.

Maybe we should end the culture of glorifying gangsterism, lasciviousness etc. Maybe we should stop glorifying RAP and all these other horrendous forms of “music”. Maybe we need a change in culture

People are people. Dominicans are no better than Haitians, this from a proud Dominican. The question is why Caricom is not doing more to bring some semblance of normalcy, stability and security to Haiti. Caricom could send security forces to open fire on Salisbury people but cannot foster the courage to end the violence in Haiti. The US will send billions to help the white people in Ukraine but the black people in Haiti doesn’t get a second glance.
Another thing Dominicans go to other people’s country and commit a number of crime just like they do in at home, so I just don’t see how we are so much better than Haitians or any other nationality.

@BS. You’ve only regurgitated WS propaganda that mostly describes your white people. Black folks are only 29 to 30% of the BS you write. “Disproportional” yes, but the 70% numbers are the white community and is huge, mind boggling, massive LGBT numbers, and white people purchase the most RAP music making them into little billionaires. Don’t stay lost BS, come back home.

@BS – I recently watched a young calypsonian being interviewed, he was extremely articulate and exceptional in his interview delivery – until he was asked a question about lyrics in his song refering to our supreme leader, at which point his ability to articulate himself vapourized as he became paralysed and unable to give a direct answer to the question – this is the norm in Dominica, absolute fear of victimisation prevents us from even telling the truth let alone doing something about it!

The Haitians do not have that fear, they do not have that cowardness – they stand up and fight for what they believe and refuse to allow their land to be taken from them for colonial interests! Calling them ‘animalistic vile people’ – proves you are an indoctrinated African who doesn’t understand his/her own best interests!

Thats said, I asked a few questions about CARICOM’s track record on Afro-Caribbean interests???

‘You’, need a change in culture. You are being used when you listen diligently to white supremacist sites and TV propaganda to do their dirty work against black people. Same happened to the European Jews when Hitler(your people) placed them in high-crime Ghettos. Then used people like you as Ghetto police and Camp Capos whipping their own people into trains knowing they are headed to gas chambers. They were forced to do it, and they did. But you sideline coon Blacks are a dime-a-dozen, you do the dirty work against black people for free. Stop being provoked by senseless white supremacist propaganda.
