49-year-old Kent Lestrade of Roseau has pleaded not guilty to the possession and intent to supply over 9,000 grams of cannabis.
Lestrade appeared before Chief Magistrate Evelina Baptiste yesterday where bail was posted in the sum of $28,000 with one surety.
Lestrade was allegedly caught with the said substance at Cork Street on December 16, 2011.
The total amount of cannabis was said to be 9,521 grams.
Conditions of his bail include that he report to the Roseau Police Station twice a week; on Mondays and Fridays.
He was represented by Bernadette Lambert and Wayne Norde.
His trial is expected to begin May 1, 2012.
