On Friday the prosecution continued to present its case in the Edward “Alcapone” Green murder trial at the High Court in Roseau.
Green is accused of murdering his tenant Damian Dorival in June 2008.
On the 10th day of the trial the State, led by Trinidadian lawyer Keith Scotland, told the court that the pathologist, who conducted the autopsy on the body of the deceased, had left the jurisdiction of Dominica and is yet to return.
The pathologist’s evidence was read in court by chief magistrate, Evelina Baptiste, who first took it when the matter was before the magistrate’s court.
The State also called Police Corporal Laurent who was then stationed at the Mahaut police station and acting on instructions, had gone to “The Lab,” a bar in Mahaut, to arrest Green.
Another witness was Bradley Joseph who claimed to have been on his way home just past 1.00 a.m. on June 11, 2008, and encountered Green on Independence Street next to Kairi FM in Roseau.
He said that Green was talking to someone and had asked the person for the time.
Joseph told the court that he saw a blue jeep parked in the corner on Virgin Lane next to the home of Norman Letang. He was also cross examined by defense lawyer Peter Alleyne.
The trial, which is being presided over by Justice Bernie Stephenson. resumes on Monday July 2.

That man might be innocent. from the time the blood sample From his vehicle came back as chicken blood, they should have released that man. Alcapone is not held for this crime, it is just a revenge thing, and that is sad. This case is so screwed up. Initially someone said that they saw Alcapone’s jeep in the area where the body was found,and that they saw a lot of blood in his jeep,which is the same blood that they tested and came back as fowl (chicken’s)blood,WHICH MEANS SOMEBODY HAD TO KILL A FOWL AND SPREAD THE BLOOD OVER ALCAPONE’S JEEP. hMMMMMMM!!!! Now they are saying that he put the body in the rental jeep which Damien had rented. So which jeep was really used? That son is hiding something. There is plenty more to that story. This case is more complicated than it seems. Pathologist cannot be found, Someone is not telling the truth. But is one thing, God is a just God.
