Alleged satanic ritual murder trial gets underway

Sherman Webb

A nine member jury of 5 women and 4 men have been selected for the murder trial of Dominican Sherman Webb, who is charged with the killing of Barbadian Corey Rohan Poleon.

Dominica police had confirmed that skeletal remains that were found in Elmshall were that of Poleon who at that time was an employee of a Bridgetown bank, and was in the final year of studies at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.

Webb was charged with killing Poleon between August 31, 2009 and March 18, 2010.

Dominican detectives had traveled to Barbados to secure data about the 23-year-old  Poleon’s  medical history and dental records to positively identify the remains.

Poleon of St. Lucy, Barbados is believed to have been the victim of a gruesome killing that involved a satanic ritual.

Investigators reportedly found several bits of paraphernalia related to some form of satanic ritual at the suspect’s home.

The state’s case is being prosecuted by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Gene Pestaina assisted by State attorney Arthlyn Nesty.

Attorney Peter Alleyne is defending Webb.

Justice Bernice Stephenson Brookes is the presiding Judge.

She gave a stern warning to the jury and the media about their  role in the trial.

The judge warned that proceedings of the trial should not be reported “verbatim” by the media, and cautioned the jury about discussing the matter with anyone but their peers.

      @ LOST

Keep reading and use your intelligence if you have any. The article clearly stated he murdered the other. You will hear more on this case.

You all ppl are so rude at times. Lost asked a valid question as this article in particular did not mention how he was murdered but stated it was part of a gruesome satanic ritual.

Pft, layoff a bit and stop being ready to war. Maybe its that mentality that led this freak to do what he did. In barbados he would never walk not even if Andrew Pilgrim defended him

If any case cries out for the death penalty, this one is it.

What is the purpose of keeping this guy alive for? Mister obviously is a danger to society and cannot be let loose on the public any more, then why pay for lodging, food, clothing, medical, and entertainment for this guy for the rest of his life? Give him the death penalty and wash away his transgressions from the land.

Anyways parents speak to your children; the wages of sin is death, period. That new kind of lifestyle that is being beemed all over the globe, has its consequences. Everybody and their nenen ‘coming out’ them season there like this is the latest fad. There will be hell to pay; we always always reap what we sow.

Though no one deserves to be taken out like this, but their is no doubt that his lifestyle (the new fad) led him directly to that monster and ended up in his demise. Parents caution your impressionable young ones.

Anyways take that demon out of circulation, execute him. There should be no crime in ‘murdering’ a murderer for the crime of murder.

The state’s case is being prosecuted by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Gene Pestaina assisted by State attorney Arthlyn Nesty. With Gene Pestina as public Prosecutor, that case is a done deal. The killer will be set free just like how Sarah Lynn Augustine did. Why will the govt not send Pestina on retirement???

Mister will get away easy. All his lawyer have to argue is insanity. He can even use postpartum depression if he want. lmfao.

Its like the woman who stabbed her two babies to death and got away easy. She stabbed her five year old child 45 times and her two month old baby 31 times. Imagine a little two months old baby stabbed 31 times.

And yet she got away and is living like she just killed two mosquitos on the bathroom wall. SMH

So I expect to see this fellah posting pictures of food on his Facebook wall soon.

The justice system in Dominica SUCK big time.

NO MAN! that too merciful! giv him a slow, excrutiating death by electrocution using a low voltage. That way he will suffer long before dying.

It is so sad and upsetting to read this that a young man lost his life and in such a manner. There are some people, even at a young age who sell their soul to the devil. Shocking that it could happen in Dominica and one so young could indulge in this evil ritual. His heart must be made of stone.
Satan really find some mischief and evil for idle hands to do. Was he not baptized? Did he not go to church and pray? He stooped very low to do such a thing to another human being and for the sake of Satan, the enemy of God and of our souls and worshipping Him? This man has a severe mortal and spiritual problem. The devil has his soul.
If he does not sincerely repent to God, worship Him, pray, make penance, sacrifice and some degree of restitution to appease Him, when he dies he will regret it eternally.
God is love, compassionate, merciful and forgiving. This type of murder will take much on this man’s part to please God and to be forgiven. This is the way the ball rolls for the wicked of heart, mind and soul.

Innocent until proven guilty! It’s the law.
But wait….don’t tell me … Attorney Peter Alleyne gon win that lavabo DPP who is going to quote some ‘finding’ that the defendant is insane and discontinue the case? Just thinking loud.

I remember reading this story in the paper while in Dominica; it brought tears to my eyes! This Sherman Webb guy is a monster, and I don’t care how “mental” he is, or claims to be; what he did to this kid is beyond evil, and the judge and jury should give him the stiffest sentence!

    June 13, 2012

:( no matter the circumstance nothing can justify what he did and to leave the young man out there like a dog to rot his poor mother wandering about whereabouts of her child, THATS JUST UNFORGIVING!!!!!!!
He is already gone but only a mother would kno that kind of pain.
