Another Dominican in trouble; extradited for first-degree murder

Another Dominican in the Diaspora is in the trouble with the law again.

Cuthbertson “Alpha” Thomas was extradited from Tortola to the US Virgin Islands last week on a series of charges including first-degree murder, the Virgin Islands Daily News has reported.

Thomas has been denied pre-trial release by V.I. Superior Court Judge James Carroll III.

According to the Daily News, Thomas, 20, has been accused of participating in a spring shootout that left 91 bullet casings outside Lexus Adult Entertainment Nightclub and 28-year-old Philip George dead. James King, a patron of the club, survived the shooting with a bullet wound to the head.

Police suspect Thomas to be an accomplice of Richie Fontaine, a 21-year-old linked to several recent crimes.

“Thomas and Fontaine are suspected of instigating the March 7, 2009, Lexus Nightclub shootout. They also have been linked to the Aug. 14 robbery and shooting of 20-year-old Edgar Francis and a May 6, 2009, school bus shooting near E. Benjamin Oliver Elementary School that left a 10-year-old boy injured,” the report further stated.

The parents, teachers, comunity, Preacher,Priests,Bus driver, you name it Dominicans need to look in the mirror. Stop looking at each other pointing fingers saying Chupes! A spade is a spade, when you see a person misbehaving correct them. The Bible says expose them. So expose them and try to put them on the right path, and if not lock them up! End of story.

first of, i would like to say that some people say its the parents who caused them to do this…but it’s not.. both these guys use to be around me all the time, they were 2 grown fools who had a job and was just not satisfied with wat they made and wanted an easier way to make more money, so they turned to robbing and killing innocent people for what they worked hard for. so now they should pay wat they did. no mercy!! as they say we came up here for a better but that dont work for all of us, there is always someone to give d/a a bad name

I have read all the coments and was forced to write a coment myself.Parents are most times to be blame.in some instances when children does something wrong, and you the concern citizen would correct that child or even go as far as taking the complain to the parents, they would always say (awa)my child not in that or my child cannot do that .they would not take the time to even listen to you so that they can correct that child. And when you know it the child goes and does the same thing again because they are being shild by their parent espicialy the mother.Mothers always quick to put their hands in fire for their childern and when the time come and they really feel the heat of the fire ,they often blame people for spoiling them.We in lagoon posse have a prime example of a child that would do no wrong for the mother ,but now this guy is on drugs and would steal averything can put his hands on and spends most of his youth in prison. But then even isf the parents are to be blame to some extend these guys are of age and they know what they have done, and if they can do the crime them can serve the time.but we do not know the reason behind the story so lets just pray for them and their families.Right now God is the answer and lets not think it is to late for God to make a change in their life.

    @ BLEEDGREEN

Well if these guys was from St. Thomas then their story would not be relevant on this site but because they are from Dominica that why their story is on this site. People all over commit crimes but why does it have to be our people who mjigrate and so young have to be part of this mess. Do you know how many young people in Dominica would have been glad to have gotten the opportunity to migrate to St. Thomas to better themselves. I know they would have done so and made us very proud. Shame on these fools.

PLEASE DO NOT BLAME THE PARENTS!!!!!!!!

REGARDLESS TO WHERE THEY ARE THEY WILL DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. PARENTS DO TALK TO THEIR CHILDREN. THE CHILDREN DO NOT LISTEN.

THE PARENTS ARE NOT AT FAULT FOR WHAT HAPPENED.

Regardless of what went down respect my youth. Some people are just cut out to live the Criminal life and Court and Jailhouse are just part of it. There will always be Killers, always be Muderers and always be criminals. Even back in the old days GOD ordered men to KILL , MAIM, DESTROY, ROB, STEAL and PLUNDER.They are here to serve a purpose just like the rest of us. Is time we all recognize that.

We all must remember that Jesus said that he is coming ” NOT TO BRING PEACE ON EARTH BUT WAR”
he is coming to “TURN FATHERS AGAINST SONS AND MOTHERS AGAINST DAUGHTERS”
“TO TURN MEN AGAINST ONE ANOTHER”

LET US ALL CONTEMPLATE ALL THIS BEFORE WE RUSH TO CAST JUDGEMENT AND CONDEMN OTHERS!

@Tebber, you must be tebber den. This cannot happen to just anyone. It only happens to IDIOTS like dese two a**ho*^#s. So many people need that green card these idiots got effortlessly because their parent(s) wanted them to opportunities available in St.Thomas.

As someone else commented earlier > Now they have to give the rest of us a break….go prison and buggar! Good for them!
That’s who it can happen to Tebber.

Actually “Piper” there are times when we need to give the parent(S) some credit. Those rascals do sometimes have the proper upbringing but they just have own way, to think they macho and can do this and that…..let them take what they get…And let us hope that the immigration authority in Dominica takes note of these names and individual and have their names on the books so that when they arrive here in the future cause some of them will…the public is made aware or at least the police authority will be on guard to protect the rest of the citizens of this country.

I don’t think their names should be on any books , but on a computer at the imigration devision at the airports , seaports and the c.i.d. Their movements MUST be under constant observation upon their repatriation to D ominica. ALL police stations must be supplied with their enlarged photos. I feel for his parents but he’s an adult and he must be made to pay for his crimes.

YES THEY HATE DOMINICANS!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IN THE BVI

AT FIRST I WONDERED WHY, BUT WE CAN CLEARLY SEE WHY NOW, THESE PEOPLE MAKE A FOOL OF THEMSELVES IN OTHER PEOPLE’S COUNTRY!!!!!

I AM A VIRGIN ISLANDER WITH DOMINICAN PARENTS SO I KNOW WHAT AM TALKING ABOUT!

I DONT KNOW WHY THESE PEOPLE TRAVEL ABROAD TO MAKE SUCH A MESS OF THEMSELVES…..SPOILING THE COUNTRY’S NAME!

EITHER THEY ARE NOT ACTING LIKE RETARDS EVERYWHERE THEY ARE, OR COMMIT CRIMES!

I LOVE DOMINICA AND HATE TO SEE THESE PEOPLE DOING THIS TO THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY1

hey hold up, hold up! i lived in St.thomas for a wile went to school at kean. when you say that these dominicans or down islanders are doing this you may be talking about just a few, but to lump all with a few incidents is totaly wrong and misguided. i can tell u that alot of the guys that i went to school with, with family names going back generations from the U.S.V.I are in jail or dead, some have been dealing since middle school. so be careful when you generalise. Dang, and stop yelling.

Please continue to inform the public when these criminals commit those heinous crimes and are sent back home, so that the little girls and boys (and young men and women) will not fall victim to their “Bling Bling” and nice stuff and then end up in a shallow grave in the heights of Elmshall.
