Antigua murder suspect captured in US

Kenroy Marshall

A man wanted in connection with the murder of two Dominicans in Antigua has been captured in the United States, media on that island are reporting.

Kenroy Marshall was reportedly held by American law enforcement agents.

In December, Marshall managed to evade Antigua police on two occasions, once at a house and the other at the VC Bird International Airport after he was captured in Montserrat.

It is reported that he was apparently “unchained” during the flight, in accordance with aviation regulations and upon landing managed to tackle the two escorting Montserrat police officers, grabbed his items and ran across the runway.

He had been on the run ever since.

The bodies of Alix Riviere and Alwin Robin were found shot, execution style, on October 4 2012, in an area called Cedar Valley in Antigua.

Riviere, who was found with his hands tied, had been severely beaten.

Law enforcement said they found 35 kilos of packaged cocaine in the house, reportedly worth some $1.4-million, but no connection was made between the drugs and the murder.

He is a dangerous and bold man. You can run but you cannot always hide. Sooner or later you will be caught.
Enough prayers, pleas and tears of grief went up to God and on behalf of the victims for justice to be meted out to the perpetrator(s) who deprived them of their freedom and young life.
How did he manage to fly to the U.S. without being detected in Montserrat or Antigua?
Happy to know that he was caught. I wonder, under what circumstances? Did he commit a crime in the U.S. or was caught when disembarking from the plane in the U.S.? He will be extradited to Antigua. What is next? I hope he will not escape.
As soon as the plane lands, surround him. Then put him in chains and shackles and transport him to the police station, the detention center and then to the prison. I hope that he will remain there for the rest of his life.

If you were in a small island jail now, you would probably be better off!!!!!!! Well done law enforcement!! This is proof that no one in the Da Police Force is interested in Seeko Seko because he would have been back home by now, had they requested him from the US authority…………WE STILL WAITING TO SEE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be joking guy! You want to kill and run to the US? If you wanted to escape yopu should run to Dominica and become friends with those who are friends of Seco, and no doubt they would help protect you like they did Seco. Runninig to the US was a poor choice as you must have found out. Next time escape to Dominica and I guarantee you will be safe if you join the team.

Isn’t seeko/seco in the Bronx and Brooklyn floating between 2 boroughs? If our authorities were serious he too would be back in Dominica. Its sad that some Dominicans can make such callous statements.

      • Dplacestinks.dom
        January 22, 2013

I hope you did not include my statement as a callous one. Your comment hit the nail on the head because, Seco is floating in the Bronx between two boroughs and the fact that our authorities have not been able to get him back to Dominica, is my reason for my comment. According to my sources, since his escape he has been seen with members of our local authorities.

Anonymous, I wish you had a name. However, my comment has to be distasteful to you because the authourities here have done distasteful things such as the manner in which they handled the Seco escape. Do you support the way the Seco saga was handled? Doesn’t that make you feel bad as a Dominican especially when you think of how he was interviewed by a leading SC on kairi fm? That was soooooooooooo distasteful and the old taste is still very much alive.

    January 21, 2013

This is the weirdest case ever. This man evade capture and was allowed to escape twice. It appears that someone is playing games with the authorities. One set is setting him free while one set is trying their best to capture him. Now that good set, need to identify the bad set and deal with them.

America has 50 States, which one was he caught in?

  24. Bel ti beff
    January 21, 2013

How on earth did he board a flight without being flagged? We are in the 21st century with computerized passports and Port of Entry equipment. Well he could not have left Antigua, I would not believe he’s that brave unless he is buddies with all airport workers.

He must have fled to another country and left for the US. A place like Dominica he could have left with ease. Our departure procedures are not that up to date. Passengers need to be properly screened.

But kudos to the U.S agents, one criminal will face justice! Many more to come,I hope the local police department inform the US of possible criminals who may have fled the country. Is deport them like to deport already, they’d be happy to get some names to go after.

it would be nice for him to be tried in the Us and receive some jail time , become some man’s bitch and maybe ,just maybe after receiving a few stitches in his rear end after the shower and soap experience,he might just be asking himself….how did i get to hell so quickly.

And my words to this man would be….repent and seek the lords face, make a 360, you might just get a chance out of hell.

A few questions come to my mind:

Did de Antigua Police Force put out an international arrest warrant for Kenroy? Did they get help from Interpol? Was he on an international wanted persons list?

In what state was he picked up? (New York?)

Was he hiding out at someone’s home? And were his possible accomplices taken into custody as well?

Is the Antigua Police actually teaching Dominica Police Force how to conduct a proper and thorough investigation?

Is our Judiciary paying attention to how this case is being handled so they can attempt to get justice for a member of their own legal fraternity?

Will Commissioner Carbon take a que from his Antigua counterparts to arrange with police authorities
In NY to bring SECKO home to answer the charges that Denny Shillingford has made against him?

    Finally…..
I have been hearing word over the past weekend that Tony Astaphan is in NY.
Is Tony assisting de Antigua Police in their case?

And yet we hear our compatriots back in DA blasting the US for not helping Dominica. Help comes in all forms, but Dominicans must help themselves by not tolerating the abuses by the current administration. Wow least we forget, we cannot blast the US for what we deem is meaningful to us and praise the US when our Dominican Ideals are not realized. We should ask the US to get involved in the “human rights” abuse by the current administration in their efforts to silence the expressed views of others when they do not agree with them. We have to take the good with the not so good.
