The body of a man, believed to be in his late 50’s, was discovered in blood by residents at the bus stop across from the Newtown Savannah early this morning.
Residents in Newtown alleged that the body is that of a man who normally sleeps in that area. He is known as a street man called Wasinpack.
Residents say Wasinpack sold bitterwood and slept at the bus stop almost every night.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family, no human being deserved this. I hope the police check with the youth in the area, this seem like a juvenil i suggest the cops focus on the young hudlums around the aera they will talk if one is arrested he will sing like a bird ,and then he should be stoned to death in a public arena

I dont usually read comments on dno but i decided to take a look seeing that Henry Raphael better know as Wasin Park is my uncle,he was not always the way he was now, i remember my uncle when i was growing up, he use to help my mum with my siblings he use to comb our hair {i am his niece} imagine that wash our clothes ,cook food for us when our mum and dad went to work,he has sister and brother too,nephews,nieces,aunts,cousins and has 5 beautiful daughters and 1 handsom son all his kids are married and have kids of their own.uncle did not need to live the way he lived because he has his home in eggleston where he resides,i remember my uncle to be one of the biggest farmer in roseau market thats how he took care of his family,trust me when i Say to most of you babbling your clappers you dont know anything about my uncle.circumstances in life can either make a man or break a man,i cant say for sure what caused my uncle to choose this route in his life,but i can tell you ,his family never gave up on him,was never ashame of him,we all cared and loved him every one of us,my mums last words to us before her passing was ,dont look down on your uncle, give him what all you can, look out for him ,talk to him, because he choose to live this way what ever the case may be dont give up on him and we all did what our mum told us to do,we did what we could do for him,my uncle was proud of his kids and they too was proud of their dad,we are a loving family and we stick to each other no matter what. so i am saying to my cousins and my sisters and brothers and cousins where ever you are, be strong he was part of us all ,nothing cant bring henry back ,but i know there is a God above and he see and knows every thing,and you all just need to come together at this time and find your strength in the lord most high,and remember your dad ,my uncle,your brother,your cousin,your friend,in the spirit of joy, laughter,his explanation about the herb wasinpark,his calypso lyrics his hi and hello note,his maners he never lost that REMEMBER HENRY,WASINPARK with that big broad smile he always have on, may his soul rest in peace.And please stop responding to them stupid comments, you know who your dad was and thats what matter ok I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I AM PRAYING FOR GOD TO BRING YOU GUYS THROUGH AT THIS UNTIMELY PASSING OF YOUR DAD.take care i love you all your cousin DEE.

There is a group of young boys (14-16 years) from the same community who have taken the habit of fleecing people like ‘Wassin Pack” from their money. They would fight them and run away with the money or whatever valuable they get. Poiice don’t sleep, you know them they have been in your custody before for similar heinous crimes.
