There was a break in at Starrin and Sons, a business place located in Roseau.
The exact time the incident took place is unknown at this time.
A source told DNO that the perpetrators broke into the establishment by ripping off the iron gate and stole computer monitors and some drinks.
The value of what was stolen is still being processed.
The police are presently on the scene.

This had to be the work of more than one person. I hope they are seen on the security camera. I expect there should be one.
The computer monitors should each have a serial number. I hope the owner made a list of them.
They stole to also sell the items. May no one purchase them. If they dare try to sell them, ask for a purchase receipt of where they bought them.
Instead of putting bars around business and homes we need to put the bars around the criminals!!!
The police really need to do something, foot patrols or some other means to trying to stop these break-ins.
Within the last 8 or so days, there have been about 5 break-ins in Roseau. The police need to take that seriously and be proactive.

There are many business places and homes that are broken into in Roseau and Dominica in general and its not placed on DNO as breaking news.
Why is this one breaking news DNO?
Is this business place more important that any others business places and/or homes in Dominica?
No burglary is good for the owners and all burglaries should be condemned. I hope the police bring the perpetrator or perpetrators to justice and will face the full force of the law.

This is a joke,the police in Dominica is incompetent,right in the heart of town,this person or people took of two iron gates and not a police in sight,so this means no foot patrol is done during the late or early hours.smh,i would fire the entire police force.or who are on the evening shifts.Shame on the leaders,but this is Dominica a failed state.

There are no police walking the street of Roseau at night so this is no surprise. Most are at home.
Gravity that do that. It’s a waste of time for the police to even respond to this incident. They will not find, arrest nor prosecute anyone for this crime.
They are getting more audacious and outrageous by the day. We need tow things in Roseau:

– but most importantly police foot patrols day & night having direct communication to headquarters. Roseau is not that big that this can not be done.
As it is, I will only venture into town if absolutely necessary and certainly never after 6 pm.
