Burglary at Brizee Mart

Owner of Brizee Mart Jerry Brisbane has confirmed a burglary occurred at the establishment this morning.

The incident reportedly occurred at about 4:00 this morning.

Brisbane did not give any further details saying that due to the sensitivity of the matter no statements will be made at this time.

He however said if a statement is to be made, a press release will be issued.

DNO is following this story and will bring more information as soon as it becomes available.

Lovely Dominica has been plagued by these burglaries and robberies over the past few years. It would seem that Canefield is becoming a hotspot for young people who do not want to work for a living and instead want to deprive others of their property.

Almost every home and building owner in Roseau and its surburbs have had to install burglar bars and lovely Dominica is no longer the open door and open window sanctuary we knew in the 70s and even 80s.

Anyone who has information on this latest burglary should contact the Police as the investigation should be in progress.

The Company reserves the right not to comment at this time, while the investigation is unfolding.

The question is: what is going to be done to deal with these spate of burglaries?.
