DNO why are You not connecting the dots?Did You get a letter from the Father Priest ? one like what Matt and Carlisle got ?
500 years of abuse ,deception and domination and we are still scared to call out this institution and it’s Members
Many Years ago a Judge who was also a prominent Member of the Holy Name Society made a statement that was printed in the Chronicle ” If they come before me I will deal with them accordingly” My Father sent a copy to the Privy Council and He was relieved of His duties.
From the North pole to the South Pole and everything in between has experienced the abuse of this Organization.Enough is enough !

I wish all the other more important cases would be solved so quickly. This woman was arrested while burying her mother but it took days to arrest the person who poured hot water on the homeless man? What about the cases of child abuse before the court? How long are we going to make the children suffer? Don’t they deserve justice as quickly as this case?

The case for second degree burns to a homeless human being caused by some person(s) at a well known restaurant seem not be given the same urgency by the system. What’s unfolding in the U.S. and around the World, vigilante justice, is not immune to Dominica especially if justice continues to be selective and or be delayed. Justice delayed is justice denied. The GON and Gretta Emanuel fire bombing, the 43 charges against the ‘easy-door’ are examples. While countless reports of battery, assaults, beatings and threads entered in the police diaries are not being given urgent attention by the police. The justice system got at the Robins because an influential monsignor with connections was involved. Others are not that fortunate as they patiently await actions from the police and their turn in court. Others meanwhile are contemplating taking the law into their own hands because of the apparent failure of the system to deliver equal justice.

Goodness gracious, Dominica a league on its own. You poke someone you are charged. Murder someone you are on bail free to kill again. What type of system is this? It breaks my heart to have to say this is one of the only country in the world this practice is acceptable by some of its people. Please can we all as a nation pray that those in controlling see that there is no justice in Dominica as so change this system of “is who you know”.

Seriously, how about the murder cases pending. We the family of one of the murdered man are suffering daily . There is no equal rights and justice as murderers are on bail for years living their lives whilst the victims families are left to suffer with grief and dismay. Please Dominica law be fair.

We have been told nothing. Always there will be more and we hear nothing more..
DNO, please pursue this. Thank you!
I smell a rat. Nationals must know the entire story from beginning to end.
Please police authority, be transparent; be honest to Dominicans.
We read that they are charged with battery. Dominicans want to know what caused this fracas which resulted in battery and subsequent conviction.
They also want to know why the police found it necessary to go to the cemetery during her mother’s funeral and arrested her and husband.
The police must be angry that the majority of Dominicans, if not all of them lambasted them for going to the cemetery to arrest them. Therefore, this conviction to prove their case.
Police, you are not exonerated. You acted unmercifully.toward them at a time of mourning. Were your heartless actions called for?
I got a different view of you police and police authorities. God took note of your actions!

@Caretaker just would like you to know that justice does not end in court . Some people can be wrong as wrong can be and in court they does win and the innocent gets penalize . in the end justice does still prevail in a poetic way.

So what do you know about this case? Nothing has been told to the Dominican people; not on this Website anyway. Dominicans are entitled to know it all.
Was this a behind closed doors court case? You should find out more. In order to be satisfied, Dominicans have a right to know the entire story from beginning to end to conviction.

Some people on this Website commit criminal acts, calling others all sorts of derogatory names. This is not freedom of speech per se. Freedom of speech has a limit. They should be arrested. Probably, someday they will be arrested and charged.

Yeah the same should appy to the restaurant and its owner from which the homeless man was burnt. In a real country swift action would have been taken. The restaurant would have been closed and fined and owner brought to justice. But I guess this is Dominica anything goes, who cares!.

    • If she is an American citizen, I doubt a conviction in Dominica matters in America; since the crime if one was committed is in another jurisdiction; which is indeed a foreign country which is of no concern to neither local nor Federal Government of the United States.

Here is an example: An Antiguan left his wife in Antigua, went to St. Croix, and marry a Cruscian His wife found out, she went to St. Croix reporting him to police and Immigration that he committed bigamy, she presented her marriage certificate.

She was simply told whether or not he committed bigamy in Antigua or not, they can’t do anything about it since the act was committed, in another country, which is not in the jurisdiction of the United States. What transpired in Dominica is not on the agenda of America. Because you watch lots of American Television, and think your lifestyle is American, that all it is and does not go beyond that!

Believing you all are connected to America does not make it reality!
