Dominicans were on Monday expressing satisfaction with the arrest of four individuals held in the on-going murder investigation of 40-year-old Dorothy Prince who was shot and killed last week at the gas station where she worked.

Residents of neighbouring Dominica, the place where Prince was born, today called local talk shows to laud the Antiguan authorities for their quick action.

Carlisle Jno Baptiste, a journalist in Dominica, told The Daily OBSERVER that the news brought a sense of relief to family, friends and well-wishers back home.

“A number of persons called applauding the police for its swift work in getting at least four persons in custody and hopefully during the course of this week they expect these people to be charged,” Jno Baptiste said in a telephone interview from Dominica.

I quite agree with you. But i do not blame the officers I blame the people that train hem and the “Dominica criminal Justice System. For the very poor trainign of the officers.
POlice officers has to be very smart and wise. not only educational-wise but psychological -wise. The trainers of the police needs to be train in order for them to train new officers properly. They also need to teach them “ethetics in criminla justice and policing.

you cant teach a dead man a lesson niether can you punish a dead man I say sentence them to life in prison under solitary confinment.Under those condition they will have the rest of their lives to regret their actions.Every waking day for the rest of their lives they will reflect on their action to me this is more punishment than executing them. Like the saying goes When you dead you dead.Let them rot and suffer before they expire naturally

people if U don’t know and don’t have a clue there is no way u can compare Antigua police force with Dominica..they’re not even coming close.apart from Jamaica n Trinidad we are the best. Antigua police force is one of the most corrupt in the region so think again n get some starts. I’m not criticizing them but they’re too corrupt n too many foreign policemen in Antigua.

CASTRATE THEM SO THEY WONT EVEN HAVE FEELING FOR MEN IN THE PRISON MUCH LESS FOR WOMEN WHILE THEY ARE THERE AND AFTER THE CASE GIVE THEM THE HARSHEST PENALTY FOR MURDER. BECAUSE TO ME THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS TO GROW WITHOUT YOUR MOTHER AND WHAT IS PAIN. SO PLEASE GIVE THEM A FEW TOUCHES OF PAIN BEFORE DEATH.

That incident should open our eyes and view the police as suspects in crimes. They are paid to protect but many times they are involved and end up being well protected. There are criminals in the police force.

I see so many here praising the Antigua Police officers. If only you guys knew. do you know of how many crimes that has passed in antigua and yet is still unsolved? I hear the same from the antiguan people. “If only our policemen were solving crimes as quick as the dominican policemen” You need to stop bringing your own people down. the Minister for security and labor has his hands full with the amount of crime in antigua and does not know what to do anymore. CRIMES ARE SOLVED MUCH MUCH QUICKER IN DOMINICA THAN IN ANTIGUA

I hope that the system in Antigua is not like here in Dominica where a man gets 14 yrs for murder If the system is fair and the murderers are found guilty given the maximum penalty will ease the pain the Prince family the people of Grand Fond and the Dominica community is going through Rest in peace Dorothy Jah loves you Fire for the murderers

Good job Antiguan police! I know quite are few of you have Dominican roots but we are proud of the entire force. I hope our local commissioner and officers learn from you guys and do what is right. Although very little was known about the persons involved which includes a corp, yet you were able to move swiftly reguardless of who was involed, to bring justice. That’s all we are asking for from our own commissioner and police who have lots of leads to work with concerning the Christmas Day bumbing and other crimes comitted on the island, yet as of to date, they have not been able to make an arrest.
I suggest we send the entire force to Antigua so they could get some training on investigation.

thanks to the police for getting them yes but Antigua police ain’t no better than Dominica police. If she didn’t tell them who it was, they wouldn’t have found them. In addition to that she was familiar with him because he frequent the gas station, hence the reason he killed her

        @ Antiguan/Dominican

This hurts. It is extremely sad that she lost her life through their heartless act. I hope they are tried and sentenced for life, never to be free to roam the streets of Antigua.
What also makes it sadder she had two small children. The second one is only 27 month old. They will never feel her love, touch, comfort and hear her voice.
Consider also her children especially the 27 month old baby who was accustomed to her touch and voice. I wonder what is going on through this little one’s mind when not feeling her touch and not hearing her voice.
May God’s justice and the Law of Antigua prevail. May her soul rest in peace.

WE HAVE THEM ALL OVER THE WORLD. YOUR STATEMENT IS JUST GROSS IGNORANCE. SO ALL CRIME IN ANTIGUA GET SOLVED STUPES….
