Two prosecution witnesses have testified in what state lawyer Wayne Norde deems an “embarrassing” case relating to a man accused of sexually violating a one-and-a half year-old cow.
“I must admit, this case is embarrassing to me. I’m not sure if it is to the court or for him (the accused),” Norde said while addressing the jury at the start of the trial.
The incident allegedly occurred on October 27, 2008.
The accused, who is being tried at the High Court on a count of bestiality, pleaded not guilty and is being represented by attorney Darius Jones.
Veterinary Officer Reginald Thomas, an expert witness, told a five-woman and four-man jury today that during his examination of the 3 ½ -4 ft animal on the day of the alleged incident, he noticed that the creature had reddening and hemorrhaging on its vulva (inside of vagina). Apart from this, Thomas said that there were actual signs of blood on the vulva.
The doctor told the court that based on clinical observations, the black and white cow was in heat at the time of the penetration. He did not believe that this extent of haemorrhaging was caused by a bull. He perceived that the incident took place “a couple hours” prior to his examination, based on observations.
Meanwhile, an eye witness testified that he had seen the accused having sex with the cow at about 9:30 a.m. while on his way to change the animal. During his testimony, he demonstrated a thrusting motion he claimed the accused had done behind the cow for 15 to 20 minutes.
He told the court that the owner of the cow and himself were both security guards who had gardens in the same area so he would sometimes change his cow. He said he saw sperm dripping from the accused private part at one point.
“He went out in the bush with his ‘wood’ outside. A big piece! You know what they call a big piece of wood? Penis…,” the witness told the judge.
According to the witness, at that time, the defendant’s pant was unzipped and he didn’t say anything to him because he thought that the accused would ‘lash’ him. He said however, that after this he went to his project which was five minutes away. The accused had seen him when he returned shortly to change the cow, the witness said.
He told the court that the cow was tied and stayed put during the entire affair.
Two other state witnesses are expected to take the stand when the matter resumes in the morning.

Please, this is not the first time this is happening in D’ca. I’ve been hearing of this kind of behavior since I was a child. I am sure there are many more like him who sewo on other animals the only difference is they have not been caught. The few that was caught at least they plead guilty “with an explanation”. First of all this witness story makes no sense, because if you were going to change your friend’s cow and saw someone doing something to it you would have said something.
