Investigators in Jamaica have reportedly contacted the police in Dominica after three Chinese nationals, suspected of being involved in an international fraud ring, were arrested in Jamaica recently.

The Jamaican investigators are trying to determine whether the men are part of an international fraud network operating in the region.

Recently three Chinese nationals were also arrested in Dominica and charged with theft and they appeared in court on July 12, 2016. It is alleged that they stole EC$104,705 cash belonging to the National Bank of Dominica (NBD) by withdrawing monies from an ATM.

It is believed that the three who were arrested in Jamaica travelled to several countries, including the US and Russia to carry out their scam.

According to RJR News in Jamaica, the police said they seized Jamaican and US currencies along with Russian Ruble from the suspects.

The Jamaican police also reportedly seized several skimming devices and blank credit cards along with J$6 million and other foreign currencies.

The skimming devices are used to create fake credit cards, according to RJR News.

Meanwhile, the Chinese nationals who were arrested in Dominica have been remanded at the State Prison and have made several complaints about conditions at the institution.

China does not allow dual citizenship, so if these criminals are in fact ‘Chinese nationals’/citizens of China, then they could not, according to Chinese law, be Dominican citizens at the same time.

Dominicans just love to put politics in everything. We worship have made GODS of simple men. Talk about how you can improve yourself don’t expect the Government to do that for you. Most of you have lands and won’t plant, you expect the government to do it for you. We have become a lazy nation and we love to criticise many things.
Take a look at yourselves in a mirror and say ” What can I do to improve myself?”

All I can say is send them for Russia to deal with them correctly..

Because only in Dominica every big criminal can have a chance to move on after they show big money.

Like I have always said , Dominica does not have the technological necessities to deal with the advance criminal minds that we open our country to.
Immigration can change a country very fast especially for a small one like ours.
I think some of our leaders only look at the personal financial benefits and not that of the nation as a whole.
More pressure needs to be put on Gov\’t and more questions needs to be asked of our political leaders.

This sounds like a melee. Some authorities, as Jamaican authorities did not perform their job satisfactorily. They were suspects in Jamaica. What occurred from thereon? They should have been arrested. They were allowed to escape to other countries as Dominica.
Why were they not deported directly to China with Jamaican police escort?
How did these chronic thieves manage to arrive in Dominica?

These are Chinese who grew up in an atmosphere where they saw nothing but a dictatorship, corruption, and human rights violations all their lives. It was a philosophy that said if you see something you want you take it. Who it “belongs to” is immaterial. This is the case now with China casting its gaze out over the South China Sea.

When I first read these stories I had the feeling that both these criminal groups – Dominica and Jamaica – are bigger than they appear to be with connections beyond themselves. These are career criminals. It is likely there is more they should be charged with. I hope the police do their job before they let them move on.

Dominica does not owe it to China to be soft on their criminals. Whatever you think of your government
don’t compromise Dominican justice because IT belongs to the people :!: Hopefully Jamaica will take the same stance :!:

Quote: “Investigators in Jamaica have reportedly contacted the police in Dominica after three Chinese nationals, suspected of being involved in an international fraud ring, were arrested in Jamaica recently.
The Jamaican investigators are trying to determine whether the men are part of an international fraud network operating in the region.” Why is everyone referring to the CBI, did these Chinese nationals arrested in Jamaica carried Dominican passports? The article is simple saying that they contacted authorities to see if there was a connection. Stop making conclusions from facts which are not presented. We need to stop seeing RED, BLUE or GREEN. Let us look at the issues and how they may affect us now and our children in the future. Let us see Dominica and together let us come of with solutions to make Dominica better and stop with this political non-sense. This goes for all the politicians as well becuase it starts with the leaders.

It’s not obvious where a countries like USA and Dominica allow dual citizenship.Their phenotype tells us they are Chinese, but there are in other countries other than China, and they could hold citizenship from any of a number of countries which allow it.Don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions where clarification is required

      • I will not invest a single Dominica one cent in Dominica to help or assists anyone as long as Skerrit is prime Minister of the country! People like you bury your heads in the sand like an Ostrich, with your Butts exposed allowing Skerrit to kick you like dogs!

In a storm the Ostrich buries its head in the sand leaving its behind exposed to the elements where it gets battered by the wind and rain; the Ostrich does not have the sense to seek shelter for it entire body, so too are many of you in Dominica.

Only an idiot would return to Dominica, to waste and loose their money talking about help. Count how much businesses foreign and local has failed or left the country since Skerrit became Prime Minister of Dominica.

Here are the names of two which recently left: Dragon Windows; and Colgate-Palmolive! I maybe my own idiot, but I shall not become a fool to any Dominican! I will look after any of my relatives who ask my assistance, to that I am committed: Let Skerrit take of the…

Some of you have are vexed at your PM and his government.

What would you do if you were a Christian and had to live in Canada, especially in Ontario? Of course many Christians do. It is worse if you are an evangelist. A Christian here who is “on fire for God” has more to worry about than passports. I encourage you to be concerned about the things that count for eternity. Pray that God will make sin appear exceeding sinful, and let you feel the burden of a lost world. Ask Him to make you a soulwinner.

Take a stand for righteousness in your generation regardless of what others do or say!

These are not resident Chinese. You people are so full of hate. These are travelling thieves. Nothing to do with selling of passports as they have not applied for citizenship here or in the US or Jamaica or Russia. This is an entirely separate criminal matter. And as for revolutionary goverment taking over and people self deporting, would you like to have the same happen to Dominicans in other countries who are legal citizens of those countries? Everything is not the same. Learn to separate issues people. Chinese who migrate here for economic reasons cannot be lumped in with these criminals. All you starting to sound like Trump.

This CBI will be the destruction of Dominica.

Dominica is a let down to the struggle of slavery and Africans and a whole.

The Greed of Corrupt Politicians and it’s crew will and continue to bring shame to the island.

I honestly don’t think independence was meant for Dominica, as they just don’t seem to get it…what needs to be done is that international pressure must be place to “STOP CBI”

Dominicans lack vision, Nothing this regime tries will work, as they’re evil to the max!

The Dominica Labour Party is the same as the South African Regime during the Apartheid Period…..wickedness and Evil…

Not surprising at all..the issues are that once a Regime opens up it’s National Passport for World Wide Sales without transparency all hell will break loose…

It’s just things unfolding, sadly many Dominicans are qualified as degree fools chatting a whole bunch of rubbish not seeing the danger ahead, how can a open fish market sale of a nations passport bring in growth with so many agents?

There is nothing to show after these gross incomes from the sales, the economy of Dominica is dead totally…Dominicans don’t care, they’re are not knowing to be a thinking lot, many are brainless, mediocrity is the norm of many dominicans…

Sooner this CBI, will be dead and dusted, as dominicans don’t pay heed to the concerns of the International world.

but the facts are their, dominica is the fools paradise, heading as the poorest and slowest economy in the caribbean, Dominica and Dominicans will perish due to their high level of ignorance!

And you are foolish to call for a revolution in Dominica; unless you do not live there, and you have one living there–don\’t you think that you and your people will suffer the bad consequences that comes with a revolution?

The only revolution that is needed in Dominica is the one which will discipline and train the minds of people like you; it is all Spiritual–be prepared for that kind instead of a physical revolution. Or perhaps you do not know that a physical revolution does not end without blood and death–so now you know!
