The police are now investigating a case of suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and have arrested one of their own.
The policeman was arrested as investigations into the alleged matter begin.
DNO has been reliably informed that the lawman is presently being held in cells at Police Headquarters in Roseau.

Publish his name!! “By their fruits you shall know them.” If he is found guilty by a jury of his peers, he should be sentenced to really hard labor. Send all the convicted rapist to Roseau from sunrise to sunset 7 days a week to clean those dirty drains in town.

Being a lawman he should know better instead of protecting he is distroying. I hope he gets what he deserved. I am not surprised they have been doing this for decades.

This case will go as far as the case the one with politicians and business man will go. There are many Big men that involved in that kind of abuse so it is not thronged on like it is should be. People being paid to shut up!
Giving cover for people involved in child abuse is shameful and the Social Services should come out to say some thing on that.
Children tell a lot of lies, remember that. And also, no man is to be presumed guilty until found so by a court of law. I am sure that the policeman is innocent as no Dominican policeman I know would ever hurt a child.

Why arrest someone if u know they will file judicial review isn\’t this a waste of tax payers money to try to prosecute someone for sex with a minor? Way i see we need to stop pretending and close all courts put lawyers out of work and let the country continue running without any law.

Why a child? He, being a lawman should have known better. Let us see how this plays out in the Court.

You said it right BEB. As usual the case will become dormant, the same as the case involving the politicians who admitted to even kissing a minor. Remember they were arrested, and I suppose let out on their own recognizance.
To this day we have not heard anything about any surety posted by anyone, in view of that one can only assume they were set free on their own recognizance; never to be brought to trial, and so they walk the streets of Dominica as if they are invincible.
God will never have mercy on Dominica. Our actions, and behavior which displease God is a curse on our country, and that is why there is so much suffering in the country. When I grew up as a boy there were no homeless, and hungry people begging, the poor house was empty. The only vagrancy I saw as a boy was a Buffong walking the streets of Roseau with a long dirty masstif-bread in his hand.
And even at that when the night came he went home to sleep, in a house!

thats where they keep everyone before the bring them court. they can stay in the cells up to 72 hours there after they must be taken to court to send remand stockfarm or released
He is being held in other to assist the police with their investigation. He was arrested on suspicion that he had committed the Offence so definitely has not been charged with the Offence yet. In other for him to be house at the prison on remand he has to be charged and taken before a magistrate. This is an Indictable Offence for which he will not be ask to take a plea but will be remanded at the prison at this point because the magistrate does not have the jurisdiction to grant bail in this circumstance. the accused with the assistance of his lawyer can proceed to apply for bail at the high court. if he is successful he will get out of prison and given a date to return to magistrate court for committal hearing. etc etc
