A Tareau man, Sylvester Roberts, 47 was ordered to undergo psychological evaluation and treatment before a matter he is facing is heard in court.
He appeared in court on Thursday before Magistrate Evalina Baptiste.
Roberts in being charged with assault and intent to commit a felony, intimidation and malicious damage to property.
According to police on the April 16, Roberts allegedly intimidated Richard Innocents of the same community by threatening to kill him and brandished his cutlass at Officer Pelham Jno Baptist.
Roberts will return to court on May 5 pending the evaluation from the Psychiatric Unit at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Yhis is the part of criminal justice that I cannot understand/ If a man is crazy, they give him a few pill for a while and then let him go to get crazy again and do worse this time. I think that there is law, there is justice, and then there is good sense.
