A Grand Fond man who allegedly forged a Royal Bank of Canada cheque for $6,000 will appear in court for a preliminary inquiry into the matter on May 23, 2011.
Kelroy Thomas, according to the charge read before Magistrate Ossie Lewis this morning, allegedly forged cheque number 0147 on November 25, 2010 and making it payable to Clay Shipley.
He also faces an uttering charge in which it is alleged that on the same date, he, with the intention of defrauding the Royal Bank of Canada, pretended that the cheque was legal knowing that it was forged.
At the time, he was unable to present a proper surety to the court for bail.

I am from Grand Fond, and that village is a very peaceful village. One or two bad eggs who live out of the village, they commit their crime and then return to give the village a bad name.. Can someone tell me who is this Kelroy Thomas of if he has a nickname because I have no idea who this person is? Thanks.

It is evident that some of the comments made on this matter is indeed childish, immature, and irresponsible. One would expect those who make comments on such matters to be much more selective in their word choice. Remember when it rains it does not rain on one man’ house top. Once you commit the crime and found guilty in a court of law man i do not give two cents where the hell you come from be it Grand fond or Grand Savanne the sad part is those M/F stupid cannot even read or write but they follow other people and commit crime plus they do not have a dime to put up for their own bail. If and when he is found guilty as part of his punishment make him do some hard labour cleaning the side of the road from Rosalie to GrandFond.
