Murder comes from either hate, anger, or a combination of both. It can be something that was planned in advance. It can be an act of revenge. Or it can be something that happens unintentionally during a robbery or the commission of another crime.

It can be something the perpetrator planned in his (or her) heart for a long time or happen during an acute outburst of wrath triggered by an unexpected event.

We need to examine our thoughts towards those we disagree with and evaluate our feelings regarding those we dislike. The Bible tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. When our minds are renewed we (our behavior) will be transformed. God has given us the means to bring this about in our lives. It all begins by receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then we should read our Bibles, pray each day, and attend a Christian house of worship.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

      Continued …

There is no need for us to walk around like a ticking bomb waiting for the wrong thing to happen and set us off. But we were all born sinners. We have within us a fallen and depraved nature. It is the Adam nature capable of any wrong doing.

This is why Jesus said *… Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.* (John 3:3) This is when God imparts to us a new nature. It is His own nature. The Bible calls it *the Divine nature*
      in 2 Peter 1:4.

How can we be born again :?: It happens when we believe the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and receive Christ as our Savior! The Bible says *He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.* (John 1:11,12)

It is as the famous hymn writer Charles Wesley wrote in one of his hymns

He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
      And sets the captive free.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

It is good that we be reminded of this.

There will be times when we disagree with somebody and are even angered by them. We may feel like hurting them. But what we need is to resolve in advance to practice THE GOLDEN RULE to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. So I should ask myself what would I want him (her) to do to me if the shoe was on the other foot :?:

No. I have not always done this. At times I have shown a lack of common sense and a shortage of ministerial grace. Like Peter I have drawn my sword. The question for me should not be *What does this person deserve :?:* The question should be *What would my Lord do :?:*

Now I realize what I need is to forgive. God gives us opportunities to imitate Christ and there is no better way to do that than when we have a chance to forgive. When they were killing Him He prayed *Father forgive them, …*

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

        Continuation …

In my meditation I imagine I see Blessed Mary His mother standing at the foot of the cross.
She hears Him say *Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.\” I believe Mary may have prayed *Yes, Father, … forgive, forgive, …*

Did you know Jesus was praying that prayer for the entire human race :?:

By His death our Lord Jesus purchased forgiveness for all mankind. Moments before He expired on the cross He said *It is finished :!:* (John 19:30) Do you know what these three simple English words mean :?: They mean PAID IN FULL :!: They mean THE DEBT IS DISCHARGED :!: This is why salvation is free. It is a gift. You only need to receive it by believing.

*… … Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.* (Acts 16:31)

*For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.* (Ephesians 2:8,9)

        Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill

What happen to the young man in pte Michel who got shot three times , and the police know who did it and up to now no arrest has been made ?, the police supervisors in Roseau seat on there back side , and just sweep the this under the rug , and they go on the radio saying 95 % of the crime has been solve, well tell me about the most recent one in pte Michel mr chief of police, let the pte Michel constituence know what happened you have the name now man up and follow thru..

For those who have had a loved one murdered and the case has grown cold it is little comfort to know 95 % of the cases have been solved. I expect it is more like pouring salt on an open wound.

Obviously some homicides are more difficult to work than others. The police often must depend on the co-operation of the public. One person holding back a small observation or refusing to share a seeming unimportant bit of gossip can stall a case. This is why CRIMESTOPPERS DOMINICA plays such an important role. Remember you do not have to give your name. Tell what you know even if it seems insignificant.

Meantime you have a right ask the police for an update. Be polite and patient. Their work is challenging.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

I know you’ve mentioned why DNO does not name those accused of rape but in this instance you’ve name the victim and not the accused. Please explain DNO’s policy as it relates to this…?

ADMIN: The story clearly says ” Denison Thomas has been charged with attempted murder.”

Why do we need the victim but not the accused?
