Murder suspect to be returned to Antigua

A man wanted in connection with the killing of two Dominicans last October is due to be  returned to Antigua.

Kenroy Marshall is to be sent to Antigua from the United States where he was captured last month.

Media reports indicate the authorities on the island are preparing for the return of Marshall. “Appropriate arrangements have now been made for Mr Marshall’s return and Mr Marshall will be returned to Antigua at which time the police will take the matter forward,” Antigua National Security Minister, Dr Errol Cort, was quoted as saying.

The authorities, citing security concerns, have not indicated the time and date Marshall is expected back in Antigua.

However, Dr Cort noted that the suspect’s return “will be handled differently.”

In December, Marshall managed to evade Antigua police on two occasions, once at a house and the other at the VC Bird International Airport after he was captured in Montserrat.

It is reported that he was apparently “unchained” during the flight, in accordance with aviation regulations and upon landing, managed to tackle the two escorting Montserrat police officers, grabbed his items and ran across the runway.

He was eventually captured in the US.

The bodies of Alix Riviere and Alwin Robin were found shot, execution style, on October 4 2012, in an area called Cedar Valley in Antigua.

Law enforcement said they found 35 kilos of packaged cocaine in the house, reportedly worth some $1.4-million, but no connection was made between the drugs and the murder.

what DNO failed to report is how he arrived in the US. The man escaped from Antigua by boat to Guadeloupe. He left Guadeloupe and arrived in Philadelphia. He was picked up by US authorities thereafter. what i want to know is where he got moeny in Guadeloupe to buy ticket.

All of us have lost loved ones through specifically illness or accidents. Consider how this hurts. I continue to feel saddened at the murders of those two men.
My heart also goes out to their family. What also hurts is that once people die they are gone forever. Their family, friends and associates are left to mourn their loss forever and as the Court case prolongs.
This dangerous man should never be left alone. He needs consistent security surveillance by not only one but a few armed policemen. Should he try to escape, he should be maimed in the leg. This would put a spoke in his wheel that he will not be able to run away.
While traveling, if he wishes to go to the men’s room they will have to be present. Having stated that, they should put a diaper on him. Let him use it during the flight. He should also be fed as a baby and not allow to handle a knife and folk.
In this man’s case, since he is so wicked, bold and was determined to escape and cannot be trusted, the airline regulation should not exempt him from chains and shackles while he is traveling.
As for when he arrives in Antigua, the same should apply until he is incarcerated and thereafter.

He may be isolated in the plane from the U.S. It is too bad a Caribbean airline could not transport him “solo” as is done (as I believe) in the case of transporting a corpse in a coffin. He is already a dead man – dead to the world as I suspect who will spend the rest of his days in prison.

Why is it I get a feeling that this man mus have contacts in the service that previously employed him and rather have him out of the way than facing the judge in his native land? Maybe he knows too much? How else did he manage to escape from custody at Antigua airport and find himslef in the U.S.A. without inside help? A lot will come out in the wash.

They usually have contacts. Your last sentence, “probably” but do not count on it. There are too many make-up stories and lies, sometimes to acquit the perpetrator(s).
As for deceivers of every sort, be they public servants who are obviously employed in the public sector as security people, police and other, God will deal with them someday. He sees and knows their tricks and fakes who allow prisoners – criminals/murderers to go scot free, only to harm others. In time, none will escape God’s justice.

Can’t the Dominican government do something? I haven’t heard one comment from them! This could never happen to American citizens without their governments involvement
Also I’ve noticed the lack of interest by Dominicans as opposed to antiguans based on their comments on Caribarena.
God have mercy on our judgemental people.

What are you stating? You must think further and beyond. The government has its minister and relevant departments that handle such matters. Furthermore, consider that the murders occurred in Antigua. Do not think that the government is not saddened at their murders and sympathetic towards their family and hope that justice will be meted out to the murderer(s). In addition, the relevant government department obviously is in contact with the Antigua government and vice versa and will inform all concerned about their findings, decisions and proceedings in the Court case, the latter when it occurs. Therefore, cease questioning and blaming the government which should not be blamed and expecting it, at this point to interfere in Antigua’s justice system. There is nothing the DA government can do at this time. Let common sense prevail.

He can get through security with all the searches one has to go through at the airport, make his way to the united states. The same ones who helped him the first time around will do it again. The police, and airport authorities at the airport will ensure he escape again because the are all involved in the drug trade.. Shame on them

    ****A NEED FOR CHANGE****

It is reported that he was apparently “unchained” during the flight, in accordance with aviation regulations and upon landing managed to tackle the two escorting Montserrat police officers, grabbed his items and ran across the runway.

WOW!! These regulations need to be CHANGED!!!!
Also, he should have had more officers to meet him at the airport or more officers to excort him.

But that’s GOOD that he has now been NABBED!!!!
