NDFD applauds police in prompt arrest of accused robbers

NDFD building

The National Development Foundation of Dominica (NDFD) would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force for their efficient and professional manner in which they dealt with the armed robbery which took place in the afternoon of August 11th, 2010.

The police are often criticized by the general public for the manner in which they handle criminal matters, in this instance the police should be complimented for their outstanding work for arresting and charging those involved in committing this criminal offense.

The Board of Directors, management and staff wish to thank the police and everyone else who have offered their support during this difficult time.

The NDFD however remains steadfast in its mandate of job creation, poverty alleviation and nation building.

There are still more criminals to be caught, and more murderers to be sentenced. The Island needs a better state prosecutor, too many murderers are walking the streets of little Dominica. My people U need to take heed of these things. There too many slackers in government positions getting big sums of loot for doing nothing. Wake people. ( My little two sense for today, thank U)

I am happy to see all the comments commending the police, but you all need to understand that the police did not ‘crack’ this case. It was the timely and detailed cooperation by the populace that greatly assisted the police. So stop being hypocrites and all Dominicans, assist the police with information in a speedy manner so we can see more results like that.

    Good work by the police.

We need to support our police in all forms. They are the only one standing between us and the criminals.

@56: I keep saying the very same thing. Most persons who post comments on this site have a problem in dealing with positive stuff because they feed on negativity. Something bad happens and you can’t find space to post a comment. Then something positive happens and you are left wondering if you are the only one reading about it.
LET ME JUST TAKE THE TIME TO SAY TWO THUMBS UP TO THE POLICE YOU GUYS ALWAYS HAVE MY SUPPORT.

The general public applauds them too. Dominicans will not tolerate this daring robberies. I think the police force in some of the other OECS territories could learn a thing or two from the police in DA. Statistics will show that the detection rate is much higher BY FAR in DA than in the island where I currently reside. I am not so quick to condemn the DA police force as overall they have been very effective.
