The police are appealing for assistance from the public following the discovery of human remains in the vicinity of the Layou River.
According to Police PRO Acting Inspector, Pellam Jno Baptiste on the 26th of November, 2016 the police discovered human skeletal remains in a shallow grave in the vicinity of the Layou River.
He said a number of clothing items were also discovered.
“The remains and clothing items were secured for investigations,” Jno Baptiste stated.
A coroner’s inquest will be convened.
Investigations are ongoing.

Was it male or female clothing? There are females missing in Dominica as far as I have heard

The Layou river is long and many people are missing.
Contact the family of the guy from High Street who worked at Dowasco he went missing around Layou /St Joseph area. So officers don’t you all have a list of missing person so when something like that happens you all can call the family members to help identify the body to help solve the crime?.
did they ever find the man who went missing around the titiwi festival time? i remember reading a story on DNO about this person who came from antrim area and went to titiwi festival who then left to visit somebody is st joseph and they had gone missing. you know we ALWAYS get these stories but NEVER get any updates so i’m just asking.
