UPDATE: Police charge three in Hillsborough drug bust; bail denied

From left: Harrison Warrington, Terrance Christoper, Brian Ettiene

The police say they have charged three men in connection with a drug bust in Hillsborough on Tuesday.

They were denied bail in court on Friday morning.

They have been identified as Brian Ettiene of Fond Baron, Harrison Warrington of 64 Castle Comfort residing at Fond Cole and Terrance Christopher of 16 Silver Lake.

They are now facing charges of possession of cocaine and possession with intent to supply 40,000 grams of cocaine.

The court was told the drug is worth in excess of $ 1.7-million.

Bail was denied on the basis of the volume of the illegal substance and the accused could interfere with other witnesses.

Police say there are other persons of interest in the matter.

The three are represented by attorney Wayne Norde who said the matter was one of the most special and exceptional cases he had ever seen.

All three are expected back in court on November 8.

The cocaine was found during an operation by members of the Drug Squad, Special Service Unit and Customs and Excise Division on Tuesday, August 14.

Pokosion is dead and gone, there is no need to mention him in Brian’s doing. All of them are grown men and if that is what they choose to do with their life..that is their business. Dominica is not the only country where drugs is a problem and death should not be a penalty.

      @ “O” Stress

Do not stress yourself out about what which you cannot change and may not have anything to do with it. I oppose drug trafficking. I must correct you on the statement that you made about single ladies. I suppose that you overlooked there are many men who are homosexuals which is a primary reason there are single ladies, not only in Dominica but throughout the world. Think too that many men died in wars. These have created a shortage of men. The men at the top and men who practice this immorality are to be blamed for that.
The single ladies should have patience. If it is meant to be that they remain single, they should live a godly, fruitful life. There is satisfaction in the single life if they resign themselves to it.
There is the saying: “Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear.”

The Mystic man say “I snot no cocaine-choke brain”well what a whole lot of choke brain on the Nature island.

Everyone echoing “send them to Stocky” nobody not asking the powers that be to remodel the existing prison or build a new one?Stocky is pass maximum capacity and Mr Charter was on a program two (2) years talking about that, what’s the deal now.

The drugs coming to DA is not any kind of Joke,Da is said to be a distribution point and she is being watched. For too long we sat down and said we are undeveloped and all the time people eyeing our vast jungle and making plans, our lawmen looked for Mal Espirit,Pocosion,Lindsay etc and now how they not prancing up and down in the jungle?

We come on here commenting but don’t know the severity of what’s going on with drugs in DA.Our country is said to be a “transhipment port”.On here I will not disclose why I print that but the powers that be knows, they were given all the info and tracking. When it was felt that not enough was being done,BIG BROTHER stepped in.

Money is the great equalizer and the devil will dance for it,we have to be the Ears and Eyes for our children’s future,be vigilant and stedfast in calling out illegalites.

I came home on vacation, stood in my doorway and saw drugs on parade, all kind of persons going in and out, vehicles stopping all hour day and night talked to people in my community and they said “everyone knows that’s the drug house” I spoke with the top cop at my station, told him my concerns and what he said to me,I will never print on here. It’s like we have given up on DA ,the place is like CONGO,nobody look like they care,it’s heart breaking.I’m working hard in another man’s land to combat this very evil and I come home and see everyone lackluster? Big Brother is watching you.

Some vigilantee justice will start happening and then we will put our hands on our head and bawl.People are to their breaking point.Paro everywhere, you cannot leave your house open, they taking everything, you come from overseas and have to buy clothes in Roseau,four(4) days later youyr belongings show up on a body, ask them where they bought it and they say is Paro that sell it to them? So we come? I didnot know but now I do and I’ll be back.

      • TootTooBoshe
        August 20, 2012

With all due respect what problem do I have?I have to ask the question I ask because there is no love ,care or concern on many levels in DA.All you hearing “Why did you come back here?” I’m about to leave, any port for a storm etc.

Because I only gave a small glimpse into what I KNOW,don’t comne trying your I AM DOMINICA ARE YOU? statement and question on me.I AM MORE DOMINICAN THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW.

I left my family in DA and came back to the US to tie some loose ends and yes I’ll be back to stay.

AFter living away thirty three (33) years ,visiting DA every year and contributing handsomely (if I put my name on here lots of people will know who I am,after what I did when I came home last year)

I decided to take early retirement, convinced my wife and kids to move and let thius be an adventure. The very night I landed in DA,my home was robbed,my family and I had to go to Roseau next day to buy clothes to put on our backs. All suitcases were taken while we went to get something to eat.

I was told they trying to run you because of your ARMY background.I dinot realized I needed protection in DA,so I SAY,I”LL BE BACK.

Ok good you have these 3 men, now find the owers of the drugs, we all know that it don’t belong to those 3 guys…Over 1 million dollars worth cannot be and is not theirs. I think when the police catch people like that, the should get them to talk to find the real owners. Now you may ask how do you get them to talk, thats where training comes in and the police and the LAW use their skills.

The big ones, the primary contacts are behind the scene, giving orders, performing the transactions, collecting the money and paying it out to those who successfully transport the drugs. They take great precaution to ensure that they are not caught. Their day will come when they meet with their Maker and will have to answer to Him. They will not escape then.
Those who are their liaison may not talk for fear of eventual repercussion. If they are ever caught it will be because their lines are tapped and then they are placed under surveillance while undercover investigations are being conducted. This is what the DA Government/Police Authorities should undertake. Only then will they be caught.

When the US embassy gave the boats they were basically sending us a message that they are aware of the Venezuelan drug connection. This drug connection is much much bigger than tete chouval and the other two characters. The actual culprits are politically shielded by corrupt politicians and the police.
The police is aware that the when the value of a drug bust is above a certain threshold the handlers are not the real owners of the drug. They told us that the NGIC was set up for natinal security so it is time to use the unit to take down those drug lords in DA. Alas thst would include politicians too so i won’t hold my breath

      @ correct

Those DA lawyers have a way of making some ‘exceptional’ statements. Rather, unusual ones.
It may be due to the amount of drugs and the street value in DA’s history. I do not know what he really means unless his clients informed him about the names of the top people and others who are involved. In time DA nationals will find out.

That Brian Etienne rings a bell. Is he not the brother or first cousin of the famous criminal POCOSION (Leroy Etienne) who terrorized Dca in the early 1980’s? Just maybe he can now tell us where is or what really happened to the said POCOSION. Them man deserve a cool 25yrs hard labor for a start.

    Assertive, NOT Agressive!

    OMG!!!……..WHAT FACES!!!

  56. August 17, 2012

That Brian Ettiene guy and his brother should have been caught a long long time,

What they need to understand this is not in the time of their brother also they need to know that their mother brother, their uncle former police commissioner EJ no longer exist

Man them men faces says it all, they need to send them guys up stock farm for a very long time, also they government need to build a heavy duty state of the art jail to house them criminals/drug dealers

Them boys never need to be punish severely, go after everything they have, as a matter of fact they need to check their mother brother, sister all them family members bank account and seize all the drugs money/blood money, Brian we know that your days were numbered and the rest of your boys will come crumbling down, this is the result when parents encourage their children to do bad, by accepting the money and all the stuff they give to them knowing that they are not working and all they do is pushing drugs

Man them man need to go up for 25 years or more, because as soon as they let them free on the streets they will go back to their drugs trade

    • .........???
      August 17, 2012

You right on the Brian Etienne part and his family, but you must also ask the police to speak of the top official who is embroiled in this.

        August 17, 2012

        Give a hint please?

      • August 17, 2012

You are also right, we know that there are crooked police and custom officers

I am residing outside of Dominica, I met a guy from St Vincent, will not disclose his name, what this guy told me and some other Dominicans regarding he trafficking drugs from St Vincent to Dominica and the high ranking former police who was involved and the custom office

This guy want as far as telling us that whenever he arrived in custom with the drugs, there was one custom officer who was that officer working each and every time he entered the port and this officer was the one checking he contraband, so yes there were and still crooked high ranking and low ranking officers in the force , also custom offices, not forgetting high ranking people involve in that drugs business, and informing them guys as to what taking place

I know the names of both, the former ranking cop and the custom office

    • DOMINICA

No bail for all you. Just tell the police where it came from, where it was going, who is the big man in Dominica behind it, and what other shipments are expected and the proceeds of it. Then the police will use you to bring down the rest, and ease the pressure on you. Turn to their side.
