Police and Prison officers are in search of an adult male who has escaped the Dominica State Prison where he had been on remand for an alleged robbery.
According to Police PRO, Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, Leon Toussaint, from the village of Pointe Michel, escaped from the prison on Friday June 16th 2017 at 5:30 pm.
Persons with any information that can assist the police in apprehending Toussaint should notify the Criminal Investigations Department at telephone numbers 266-5164, 266-5165, 266-5119 or call Crime Stoppers Dominica anonymously, at telephone Number 1-800-8477.
Why has no media house interviewed the minister of security in regards to this man being seen openly strolling around Roseau and environs??
When you guys find him, Jail him in France. They don’t play over-there. Oh, since we have sweet Fellowship with the Kremlin; Maybe Russia will take and keepeem. He don’t need a passport.
Armed robbery. He escaped. I call him foolish for he is a wanted criminal. How could he live happily wherever he is and plan to go to? He should be branded as a dangerous offender.
How far can you go in Dominica? Where can you hide in Dominica without being recognized? He may have already left Dominica.
Police, keep the place where he resided and places he frequented under surveillance.
Hope he is caught.
Police should send alerts to every possible country, especially neighboring islands and Canada, US and Great Britain, to inform them about this escaped prisoner who might try to travel to some countries that they may be on the look-out for him.
Let the truth be known, justice, facts etc, I am wondering if his last name was Germain, Williams etc if you would be singing another tune?, just asking, young man, you need to turn yourself in to the authorities, you escaping prison, you are making things worse for yourself, please go to the La Pointe Mitchell police station which is a stone throw away from your home and surrender yourself to the police there

There are only two ways of exiting Dominica. You leave by air on you all LIAT Jet, or something similar; or Dominica FuFu: or perhaps by smuggling out of the island in a canoe. He would have to be a well organized criminal to enter the United States or Canada.
You always talk pile of rubbish, how long did it take him to get a visa to enter the U. S. or Canada., or Britain as you foolishly thought. The man is in Dominica, people sees him everyday. It my opinion the police are not interested in apprehending that guy!

When prisoners are on remand they are not allowed to go outside in the yard to recreate so how is it under the sun that he escape…Prison officer who ever you are that helped that guy escape come clean n let his man be caught before your house becomes his next target

Police don’t want escape prisoner. Police is not looking for escape prisoner…because escape prisoner is not in hiding.

At least, the authorities can put a photo of escapee so he can be more easily identified by the public.
I don’t know the person or what he looks like and he could well be in my neighborhood or might have seen him passing somewhere and have no idea he is the escapee.
